not really we are not sure of what really happened or who exactly were the other 15 shinobis or if it was them for sure who finished him, all we should understand from this is that the circumstances were all against him (for tobirama and the entire team that had a young hiruzen and danzo on it to try to escape) so this should tell you that the situation was beyond tough. you are really underrating tobirama, he was the second HOKAGE, brother of hashirama and master of hiruzen, user of s/t and creator of edo tensei, sorry but the likes of tobirama CAN'T be fodder even if they wanted too ....... The Second Hokage was boss in his time, that's y he got the job of Hokage
He might be a rip off from his brother but i'm sure the reason y some of us judge him is because his tru fighting style & Tech r kinda of a mistory

Some people seem to be getting this confused. Kinkaku and Ginkaku didn't kill Tobirama but they did leave him and the second raikage just about dead. Later, during the second(?) shinobi war he was killed by an elite team of ninja known as the Kinkaku force. Kinkaku and Ginkaku wouldnt have been on Kumo's side considering they had staged Coup D'etat against Kumo a few years earlier.
