No, I'm just saying the symptoms are similar to drug overdose, I'm not accusing him of making it up.
In a way, your right. LSD can cause hallucinations like in lucid dreaming. I've done XTC before (no, im not a junkie) but I swear, since then, my ability to see the aura out of objects and people has risen.

Never happened to me before but it happens to my mom like always!! What I noticed is that whenever she sleep deprived herself or when she's having insomnia attacks, it's when it occurs frequently.. Not eating too much at night and having a healthier sleeping habit helped her to not experience it as often as before.:)

I heard of this, though I can say that I was always..a curious type of kid. My grandma is catholic and so is most of my family, where we lived- the old folks use to tell stories about things that would often happen to them. I was never the type to accept the existence of ghost or such things but my grandma had a closet and I remember that as a kid, I would stand in front of it and talk to someone and became frighten of closets, well that room.
The paralysis happened to me when I was 6 like I said in my previous comment.

Then at age 9, we lived in a house where people had said they saw paranormal things, my mom would hear her name being called at the middle of the night from the hallways of the house, my aunt saw a woman in white in the backyard at night and even if it sounds crazy, I was always frighten by the dark- when I was a kid (6-7) I had a babysitter who would often punish me by locking me inside the closet and I would scream and cry b/c I was always terrify of the darkness and on top of that, it was a closet. So time went by and at that one house, my mom said I should learn to sleep with the lights off so she turned it off and perhaps it was my imagination but I saw a black shadow stand up and walk to the closet. I keep telling myself it was nothing but my imagination and that no such things exist eh..then we moved and at age 14-15, another paralysis occurred. What's scary to say is that it use to be my mom's room, she would often say that when she was laying down, she would feel the bed press down on the other side as if someone was laying down on it.
I often hear stuff in this house but I just ignore it.

I am not religious a lot but I do take the hand of the christian beliefs and believe in God and Jesus Christ.

It wasn't lucid dreaming b/c I saw my own room but it was blurry and I could barely see much b/c my eyes felt heavy but did see a figure or something. Everyone has different experiences. I know the difference.
It scares me that you know so much on this topic....

interesting. When I had my sleep paralysis, I barely slept that night until it happened.
Should be 1 of the causes. Hope your mom is doing well

What you described is specifically similar to a drug called Ketamine (Special K). If you take too much this happens: You kinda pass out but you're fully awake, you can't move, you're totally conscience, but kinda of dreaming at the same time, & it feels like someone is physically holding you down. It's actually rather scary, you panic, but there nothing you can do, and your senses experience weird stuff.

If you experienced something spiritual, then I can't really comment on that aspect. Anyway, I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks bud. There's also this natural plant growing in the amazone forest called Ayahuasca which causes visions/hallucinations. But according to the shamans who have been using it since the time of the Mayans, Ayahuasca is a path way to the spiritual world and can help you guide your life or something. I'd rather try that then chemical drugs like ketamine and lsd

I'm not suggesting that you try Ketamine. I'm familiar w/ Ayahuasca, if this is something you want to try, you'd be better off just taking shrooms, it's natural w/ very similar results & more importantly you can control the dosage.

Oh yah I bet that's one of the causes! Sleeping at a regular time every night could help you!:) Thanks, well she's doing fine but I just need to check on her everytime she's having an irregular sleeping habit again, just to make sure that she's okay!;)

Someone mentioned lucid dreaming, but it could also be a form of astral projection which is somewhat related. It's basically when your astral body leaves your physical body. Apparently sometimes people get stuck or don't know how to control the astral body. You should look it up if you're interested. Anyway, some people are more sensitive than others to these kinds of phenomenons, so if you're someone who has those experiences frequently you should learn some prayers to prevent projection before you go to sleep.

I don't know if it's the same case as me. but I did experience having consciousness even though I'm asleep. but there are no loud noises or blue light.. let's just say I'm sleeping.. and then I just realized that I'm awake.. but still my eyes are closed too. and not only that I feel like somebody is pushing me against my bed. which is suuper scary for me. and also I've tried screaming... I tried my best as I feel like I'm screaming at my best but I think I'm just saying mmmmm... like that.

For me, it's the other way around. Its hard for me to achieve astral projection, lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis and such. I'm not even good at meditating, my mind cant settle. I've tried to achieve astral projection several times, almost making it twice. But I think I will have to undergo some meditational practices before trying to achieve astral projection. Its all so interesting, astral projection would be such an experience... im too hasty
