Why is the Fifth Mizukage so underrated?

Hey guys the past threads that i have recently seen have all been underestimating the 5th mizukage, saying she is the weakest of the 5 kages and that she easily gets stomped. She has two kekkai genkai she has Boil Release and Lava Release plus fire, earth and water.

She owned Sasuke that's true, but she was the least useful against madara...

It's because she is an attractive woman. They have to claim she's weak or they'll feel threatened.

It's most likely because she didn't seem very useful during the fight with Madara.

The Narutobase has a wide range of opinions. You'll find things here that are uncommon for most other forums. But other than that, it's probably due to the fact that Mei hasn't been able to show many of her techniques. A good example would be when her fight with Black Zetsu was off panel'd - she wasn't even the one to deal the killing blow. Another factor is that her two KG haven't shown much on panel. Her lava ninjutsu has basically been the same form of attack every time she's used it. Her acidic release is actually pretty overpowered, and I highly doubt that it's limited to the mist...

I feel people underrate her usefulness in the fight against Madara too... she actually contributed quite a bit.

First of all, everyone has their own opinion, but most people say that because the most we've seen of her was in her fight against sasuke. Plus, in her fight with Madara we haven't seen much from her, but she's definitely not useless. Her two KG can be pretty dam dangerous, so I'm sure people just say that because we haven't really seen much out of her.

Tsunade: instant heal, stomps you and you stand no chance because she can heal herself instantly -> tsunade > all
Oonoki: Jinton rapes everything -> Oonoki > all
Gaara: Giant sand burial. end of story -> Gaara > all
Mei: Boils you, close discussion -> Mei > all
A: faster than everyone alive, lightning is uber destructive -> A> all


I think Mei had no time to really show what she is capable of, the fight against Madara was especcialy Tsunade's so Kishi made Tsunade superior and block Madaras technique so Mizukage couldn't

Sasuke's Susano'o lasted quite some time. I'm sure A's Raiton armor would keep up and protect him for about 3 seconds, which is more than enough to smash Mei's damn skull.

Well her only real spotlight moment was against Sasuke and he was pretty exhausted after going head to head with A. The fight with Madara was pretty much Tsunade's spotlight (which she shared a little bit with Onoki), so Mei really didn't get to show off too much in that one. So she really hasn't had her moment to show anything off.

Mei didn't own Sasuke. He was exhausted from his fight with Raikage, and even then he lasted quite long given that he was at his limit. She seems to be the weakest out of the lot.

I was gettig at the fact that Tsunade could easily make a giant ass crater in the ground that could put the majority of the sand in there.

Wasn't as terrible as you saying Tsunade could dodge Jinton when Tsunade has literally no speed feats.
