Problems with the battle system...

I like Tsukoshi's system kinda... BUT i think it should be up to a vote by the members... on who should be accepted into the offices...

yeah it would be an overall review about all those things you have mentioned, not only jutsus, that's the key-idea. to set the ranks according not to the jutsus someone can use, but to how they are used and when.
There are battles here where ppl only post jutsus not even "i dodge that with that"...i don't like them, they are just copy-paste.
That's not how it will work, cause if the jutsus get first judged by the senseis, that means that in the current jutsu submission thread the mods will have to check the 1/3 of them, cause most will be declined in the way. it's less work for the mods and since the senseis will judge the "overpowerness" and the "dodge-ability" of them, mods will have to only make sure that senseis are being fair for all^^
also it wont be only one sensei for every element. it was an example.
it is not easy i know, but it is pointless.
imagine this: now most of the members who fight have a post count around 5,000 more or less, its still an example don't stick to the number.
In 2 months they will all have 10,000 and then everyone will have 2 elements. what will happen then? an idea of a 3rd element will be dropped sooner or later. and it will become an endless circle ^^
Nexus is a very hard working person and cares for eth to be fair, still if he doesn't want to do it alone, the work can be split.

Of course, nothing will be implemented without the members approval and Zanji is typing down more details about the battling system -with his ideas not mine-.I think if your going to use his rules rei or are considering them i think you should make a thread bullet pointing everything,compare it to another set of rules or ideas then add a poll to it......
When he is done they will be brought up to discussion and voting.
Yeh thats no problems only reason i say that is so that it sums this whole thread up and what the rules would be etc....that way people get a clear outline of what they would be agreeing/disagreeing with not to dimene anyone just saying for those that might not understand and for the noobies who didn't know the original rules etc....

If they're spamming their ways up to their battle ranks, that still fits under the category of spamming in general, and should be taken care of by the mods...
If they're spamming in the Chatterbox area, there's nothing to do about it, because that area's made for spamming. That is unless, of course, we put in some rules there... which wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'd just like to add that TOURNAMENTS DON'T WORK.... never in the entire history of NB has there been one tournament that's actually ended... they fall apart.
The thing is, people don't like following structure on NB, probably on the internet in general.
Luckily, the Sensei Rules work well, but the Mission System is tanking pretty hard because of the lack of Mod support (I.E., people can't track their progress, and mods don't check over the missions quickly enough, which is not the mods' fault. They just need help.)
The Sensei system works because the senseis themselves help in the system; they administer tests and whatnot, so it's easier on the mods.

and handling with the spam is not that easy as it may seem to you since many ppl don't even know what "spam" means, not to mention that some of them can't just admit the fact that they did spam, they can't even see it.
Maybe, but if the senseis and mods work together this might change, anyway it's the least important thing that one.
Only 2 mods have powers there, so Zanji and I have no word there, not to mention that sometimes we can't agree with each other, simply cause we are different people with different personalities and I for example don't think that the missions should have been added with the current battling system, so i stay away^^
