I think if she knew she was going to be stabbed through the heart she wouldn't be shocked. plus in the fight Naruto vs. Sasuke in the falls, naruto had sasukes arm go through him and he didnt seem on bit surprised just in pain. Rin is shocked i think they were under genjutsu.

Well there are 2 Possbilities.

1. Rin was under A Genjutsu, like the one who maybe controlled the 4th mizukage, cuz of this Genuine Pig thing we heard, maybe Rin was made into one or they tested something on her or maybe on Kakashi. (Kakashi may also be controlled, without being able to control his body on his own)

or

2. It was alle made up by Madara. Rin was killed earlier by Zetsu, he cloned her & and forced Kakashi to battle with this clone, or Kakashi was Cloned and this " left Eye we thouht of he connection between sharingan could be just like a telepathy recording from zetsu.

Short:

Its a Jutsu who controlled Kakashi/Rin, or Kakashi/Rin were Zetsu Clones~

@ Basemaster what u mean with he sees Chakra? I know the Sharingan does, but i do not really get your point here.

honestly kakashi killed her for good reasons. i think they were surrounded by the Mist Ninja. either be captured and tortured to death or just death. so kakashi looking out for Rin decided to do the easy thing and spare rin from another interrogation. thoughts?

That sounds more like something Kisame would do. Also, remember during this time is when kakashi got his title. I dont think he would get it by being scared and killing rin to avoid torture!

something is weird about this...kakashi is crying and rin doesnt look like someone who intentionally killed herself like yahiko. we wont know til next time but my heart is in pieces right now for obito and kakashi...i just want to know wtf happened to her....

i suspect that kakashi either killed her on accident somehow....or shes not dead at that point...she was maybe taken hostage. idk what madara said makes me suspect that hes set this all up and that hes done something with rin and is either holding over obitos head or planned this out for him to see and then mind****ed him to insanity over the scene for his bidding.

1. of all there is no chance that the 2 of them would be running around in a battlefield like that alone. The smoke and the ground clearly proves a battle has been going on a short time ago.. They might have fought enemy but then more konoha shinobi should be there as well. They might be dead, but the hole situation looks very fishy. My bet is that it's a setup by Madara, possibly zetsus or a genjutsu.

Nonetheless Kakshi wasn't seen using MS till after the time skip, and he said that he had obtained a new sharingan. So if Rins death did not trigger it, this is most likely a setup, cause Obito must have awakened MS

well remember that they were fighting the hidden mist ninja's ... they can manipulate peoples perception and thier environment... so Kakashi could have thought he was attacking one of them and got her instead...

This is like the situation of itachi and his parents... the parents already know what itachi will do and his parents allowed it to happen....remember fugaku is also a leader of konoha military force in which he can also defend himself and save his wife but he didn't do it instead he allowed itachi to kill them..... maybe if rin was itachi's parents she would tell something to kakashi before she died...and maybe she allowed kakashi to kill her... that's why kakashi was crying he really don't want rin to be killed.... he wanted to protect rin but he failed...
