I believe you find a Sensei that is capable of teaching it. Then you request for training from them and then it's all you from there.

I believe there aren't any Sensei Eight Gate users left to teach it as they have all taught others who are not Sensei atm and thus can't pass it down yet.

that is just wonderful! the one thing that i wanted to learn and now i can't learn it because there is no sensei that can teach it.

There is a possibility to take an EIG test as well, though it only taijutsu based and extremely difficult to pass, considering EIG is one of the "strongest" abilities in our RP.
