Kyuubi attack happened 16 years ago (manga and databook fact).
21-16 = 5 (fact) putting Itachi at 5 years old during Kyuubi attack.
Itachi was 4 during the 3rd shinobi war (manga fact)
Meaning Kakashi Gaiden happened a year prior.
Kakashi is currently aged 30 (databook fact)
30-16 puts him at age 14 during the Kyuubi attack (fact)
a year prior puts him at 13 during Kakashi gaiden.
If the 3rd shinobi world war lasted a few years, than itachi can still be 4 in the war(but 3, 2 etc as well).
Allowing kakashi to be ~9-10 as jounin grad age.

I cant find anything in the manga, so I guess there is a chance he was younger (unless it is in the databook). I could have sworn I had seen it somewhere but I could be wrong.

Also, it would make perfect sense for it to be Obito. We can predict that Mist ninjas killed Rin. Thus, Obito got mad and took out his anger on the mist village. Very much how Nagato killed everyone even slightly affiliated with Hanzo.

When the fourth mizukage was controlled, zabuza was still in ninja academy because during that time the mist village was called the blood mist village because of the fourth mizukage's actions while he was controlled. But the thing is, according to naruto databooks, zabuza and obito are of the same age.
This is wrong. The 4th mizukage isn't that old. I can prove it, so it is 100 % sure....

It clearly proves Ibiki was also in the chunin exams at this time. From these 2 informations we can make a very qualified guess, that this scene:

Must be about the same year as the Uchiha massacre, since Kisame most likely joined Akatsuki a bit after Itachi, given from the scene, where he talks to Itachi about sharks (wont look for it..)
And to add another proof. The man Itachi approached to help him out with the Uchiha massacre had the exact same spiky hair, as the shadow we see behind Yagura.

I will say this. He cuts his hair soon enough, Kishi might even show that. The reason Kishi showed his long hair, is to show us how fast it grows, probably due to Hashirama cells..

If they were the same age and kakashi graduated at age 5 then he would have been put in a different team of 3 upon graduation. What did he do, wait four years doing absolutely nothing?
