Hidden mist ability, They all have improved hearing due to spending such a great amount of time in misty enviroments they use there other senses to compensate for there eyesight being lessened, Until of course there eyes become used to seeing inside of the mist.

Well they don't taste there enemies im sure of that much.
And if you can't see you hear, So im going with that, He can always remove it if its incorrect but the reasons logical enough.
