So I'm a bit confused on what exactly rinnegan is? Is it it's own kekkei genkai or is it an evolution of the sharingan kekkei genkai?

Has everyone who has ever had rinnegan evolved it from the sharingan or could they be born with it?

It just seems odd like you don't see someone with blaze release or something to be like wait I developed enough now I could do wood release. Or someone with the byakugan be like oh look at this now I have the sharingan.

So I'm just confused on what exactly the rinnegan is or how you obtain it or anything for that matter.

I'm just not understanding how one kekkei genkai can evolve into a completely different kekkei genkai?

Do you really need senju DNA to obtain it or not?

Madara had Uchiha and Senju in him

SO6P had Uchiha and Senju in him

The correlation is there.

you know the si6o
he had two sons..
one uchia
one senju
he gave his eyes to the uchihas
and gave his body to the senjus
by simple math you can figure out the rest

to be honest the way it evolves from the sharingan is a bit stupid because you get rid of most sharingan traits in place for rinnegan ones.

That's what I'm not getting madara stated that he acquired the rinnegan right before his "death" so did he already have senju DNA in him at that time? I understand their is a correlation there but this doesn't answer any of my questions

Yes I understand that but that doesn't answer my questions.

That's the odd thing and what I'm not getting its not like you could use the rinnegan power with the sharingan or the sharingans power with rinnegan it changes to a completely different kekkei genkai

The SO6P's first son had rinnegan, but with the progression of generations his(the 1st sons) descendants eyes eventually downgraded into sharingan, so I would expect that in order to get rinnegan one can upgrade sharingan via the MS to EMS path(or even some other uknown way) then get to rinnegan. I think getting Senju dna does increase the probability of success for an Uchiha..
I also think a Senju(or equivalent) could be born with rinnegan as a freak of nature since they too are descendants of The SO6P also..

You make me want to watch death note again...

Anyway it's the evolution of sharingan, but it seems you need senju dna also to obtain it.

So could someone born with rinnegan obtain sharingan?

Its hard to say why the sharingan is able to transform into a whole different Doujutsu. One possibility is that the Sharingan and Rinnegan were once two different jutsus. The sage might have had Rinnegan and the Juubi might have had a perfect, 10 tomoe, sharingan. If that were the case, it is possible that the sage took on traits of the sharingan and passed it along in his DNA.

Down the line, these doujutsu might have intermingled and slowly degraded away with time. It is possible that the Sharingan, as we know it, was all that was left of the two doujutsu after all this time. Perhaps while the Rinnegan does not exist normally nowadays, its possible for the sharingan itself to unlock the sage's once great power, with the addition of Senju DNA.

Again, I completely understand what it is that's confusing you, I mean sharingan and Rinnegan are two completely different Doujutsus afterall. Again, I think its very possible that they were once two separate Doujutsu's and Madara simply found a way to combine them. I think its almost certain that the sage only had Rinnegan, and no form of sharingan at all.

The elder son didn't have Rinnegan.

That's not Rinnegan, it doesn't look anything like it.

It looks it like don't get ridiculous lol.

But, he's right it isn't the Rinnegan, it's meant to represent that the eyes have already watered down even his son didn't have the complete eyes.
