But, he's right it isn't the Rinnegan, it's meant to represent that the eyes have already watered down even his son didn't have the complete eyes.

And yet Madara, a very distant descendant managed to awaken the real thing?? That's rinnegan..

The pic clearly shows that he didn't have Rinnegan, most likely cause he doesn't have Senju DNA.
