lol @ Minato haters.

So what if he was 14 he's one of the main villains and age has little place in this manga. As to the OP Tobi did not get fodderized but Minato did make him look really bad in that fight.

Ok, so would you say he embarrassed Tobi/Obito or made him look bad? I didn't think that fodderizing meant a one shotter, I usually just thought it means making the other guy look like an amateur, which is arguable considering Obito's age.

You can't argue the age thing....he would have been about the same age if not older than Naruto is!
Naruto would have killed him back than haha

that is why minato is my favorite,

The person who was capable of world domination was defeated.

Not to forget, his plan...

He wanted to destroy konoha using nine tails so that uchihas could be the one to blame, and a fight between uchiha and konoha starts,

His plan was a success, Uchiha planned a sneak attack on konoha and the one to stop it ,was tobi himself with itachi's help.

But if minato wasn't there , then the whole could have got destroyed and tobi would be a much more trouble then he already is.

Fodderise usually means little to no difficulty (to me at least) and when minato acknowledges that the person who strikes faster wins, it was a contest. He had to use an advanced form of the original ftg, something that obito didnt seem to know about. Im not sure what you mean by embarrass because what obito did at that age is something that no kid can accomplish and he impressed so much that minato thought the only person who could do that was madara. Obito lost, however though he lost its a feat that not many people in the manga can accomplish. I wouldnt go as far as saying its an embarrassment on obito's part

Agreed people are forgetting how brilliant Minato was and to be complimented by him and force him to use his highest level of FTG is a ft no body had likely been able to do up until that point.

Looking at the situation, do you really think Minato had time to play around with obito, I mean he only threatned to unleash the kyubi on the village.

It's true Minato died because of obito taking the 9 tails out of kushina! If any other ninja was able to do that then it would have lead to the same position, due minato sacrificing himself to give kushina more time with naruto.

Obito got owned big time, If you take in to consideration that obito a former student of Minato's that had witnessed his abilities and still got owned by him. Minato didn't know anything about tobi, he was quick to asses the situation going on what he has seen and come up with a counter attack.

Obito only walked away from that fight because ....

1. Being plot no jutsu of course.
2. Being part zetsu allowed him to take the rasengan and work it off, You can see that Minato's Basic rasengan was considerably larger than Naruto's. If you look back to the time when Naruto hit kabuto with the rasengan during the Sannin Showdown, you can see that the damaged done to kabuto's body was so great that he couldn't heal himself.

Overall, Minato did what was best for the village and as hokage, giving the circumstances! He was able to destroy obito and withheld his plans for 16 years ...

I couldnt have said it better myself.

I don't understand how people can say 'Minato died, so Tobi won because he's still alive'.
Minato wrestled the Kyuubi from Obito's control, and basically tore his arm off. Obito would have been destroyed if he didn't retreat. Considering that he was a former student of Minato himself, it must have been humiliating to get owned by the same techniques he'd seen since he was in Team Minato. That alone proves that Minato was still in a different league from Obito.

For those who claim Tobi was responsible for Minato's death, you're wrong.
Minato and Kushina both sacrificed themselves for their son and to protect the village. Strictly speaking, the Kyuubi killed them, not Obito (even if he was responsible for releasing the bijuu).

Overall, Tobi's plan had failed, forcing him to retreat with a severe arm injury. He did not obtain the Kyuubi, the village was not completely obliterated (not even close to the damage done by Pain), and he'll most likely be defeated by the child he should have killed 16 years ago.

yes, thjis is very good answer

Though Minato crushed Him to ground ... released kyubii in a matter of second ... that was really good and Yes .. Expected from a Hokage ....
but .. I think ... Tobi did pretty well .. I mean Now u know He was Obito ( Not Sure totally though o_O ) ... he did pretty well ... in that short duration he improved so much that he can fight his sensei ... that was alone a very nice achivement !

I don't think he did, though in Minato's case, he's a splendid Ninja so he can make some people go to their corner and think about their lives lol.

i always smelled something wrong in that battle, don't know what was until now.
i couldn't just explain to myself or understand, how i bad and retarded Tobi acted in that battle.

Tobi explaining how those the FTG works, smart ass.
You must be registered for see images

as we can see tobi has knows minato's tecnique so he most be prepare for it.

Tobi tries to absorb Minato but in a blink of an eye, Minato just vanished like a boss
You must be registered for see images

with that encounter that tobi got with minato, he most have known or undertood that minato is freaking fast and his technique allows him to escape i instantaneously.

now here tobi starts to make his mistakes., how if you know minato's ftg, tobi believes that with a pair of chains he was going to retain or catched minato when his super fast space time ninjutsu couln't.
You must be registered for see images

is tobi some kind of retarded?, what really was the plan with the chains

tobi saw minato's technique one more time
You must be registered for see images

out of the blue, tobi just forgot all he learned about minato and that a Kunai was passing thrue his head, the same marked's kunai minato uses to teleport.
You must be registered for see images

it seems the posibility of minato teleporting to that kunai, just passed thrue his mind like nothing, he never thought about it. (why would minato true a kunai?)

LOL oh he remembered that minato can teleport to his kunais, how the technique work..

------------------------------------------

That battle always had me thinking, how noob and retarded tobi was.
Then Tobi = OBito.
it was the moment i realised and started to make sense. minato wooped 14 years old boy. that explained how obito made himself look that bad..

Yeah Minato Folderized the 14 years old kid.

You can't say he knew all of minatos abilities cause he didn't know about Flying thunder god v2 which is what allowed him to hit obito

Why do people keep referring to obito's age (14). If you havent noticed, age plays little to know part when it comes to certain abilities.
Itachi waving the middle finger at a sannin who tried to take his body then mocked him after.
Nagato fodderising a rock chunnin at the age of 9/10
Currently the top strongest ninja's alive (edo madara is a zombie) are tobi, naruto and sasuke. Sasuke and naruto are younger than the kage's and yet they are stronger. Moral of the story, age hardly plays a part.

Secondly obito has one of the most powerful ms in the show if not the most powerful. Kamui is a very annoying technique and obito had mastered it to an extent that he can use it for offence and defence. Currently its taken 4 people (team kakashi) to land a hit on him, something that minato managed to do. A s/t ability isnt necessarily to defeat obito, but it greatly helps, so far hiraishin and kamui (kakashi), is what has allowed obito to be damaged.

Anyway as i said, fodderise isnt the word ill use because that means it was not a contest, it was a one sided affair and it obviously wasnt. Since obito was minato's student he was aware of hiraishin, however he wasnt aware of hiraishin level 2, teleporting to a moving object and that is what caught him off guard. For minato to use an advanced form of the original hiraishin, i wouldnt say obito was fodderised.

Would you say owned or pwnd is the right word. I can't really think of any better way to describe it. Because obito was so sure that he won (he even said "I win") and what made him look like an even bigger idiot was how after. Minato teleported above him all you see is a dumbfounded obito like wtf with his hand reaching out to empty space. Come on that part was funny you have to admit.

Considering Obito planned the whole thing and had all the advantages on his side, it should be considered embarrassing to the least that he still lost. Even after seeing FTG multiple times, in addition to being his student. And FTG level 2 is still the same use of Kunai just with a rasengan added.

minato is powerful no doubt and he beat obito hands down but foddierised is the rong word...... the narutoverse is all about match up power lvl logic doesnt make sence in narutoverse, u could say obito was probally one of the best ninja to go against minato thnx to his intangibility .... minato has been the only one to generally lay a hand on him where as naruto and the gang atm were having a lot of trouble and it was only thnx to kakashi's MS that they were able to hit obito where as minato did it himself .... but again foddirised is the rong word

its all about match up

Minato owned Obito, and Obito's plan didn't exactly work. Konoha is still up and running isn't it?
