hello hello. This is explanation i read somewhere.
1. Kishi create this Naruto character. submit to publisher (manga). The publisher like it and become "Naruto" franchise.
2. Kishi need to submit the story to the publisher, once a week, and appear on the weekly mag.
3. In the animate, the producer get the approval from the publisher. The publisher is the owner of "Naruto" manga.
4. So the producer create the animate series call "Naruto" using own screenplay and the flow story have to follow the manga.
5. The animate "Naruto" has to follow the manga volume up to vol 27 which end Part 1.
6. Next the producer continue next part 2 title as "Naruto Shippuuden" from Part 2 Vol 28 onward. The producer make some changes, and add the word "Shippuuden".
7. Then the crucial point (in most contract). The animate must have a gap period. say the manga chapter 602 release in October 2012, the animate of this chapter 602 will show from in October 2013.
Note 1: This is the common practice. Movies show today, the DVD can only be release in, say 3 months later. Same goes for manga, which the animate can be released after one year.
Note 2: Some times Kishi need to take a break (vacation) and think how the story would go.
Note 3:The manga that release in the internet first, then the book come later. Support Kishi by buying the book. The book is by volume and in which there are at least 10 chapters within the volume. means 10 weeks later.
8. Now filler appear. The producer then create the filler so as to maintain the one year gap.
9. The manga publisher hold the rights of "Naruto", as Kishi will receive as royalty. This is common or standard practice, author and publisher. The publisher manage the "Naruto" franchise, author (Kishi) receive royalty. Buy the book so as he has incentive to write more regularly.
