Hey. Let me start this off by introducing myself. I'm a us citizen 19 years of age. Living in ny of mixed race which includes caucasian, African, native American, and jewish. I am not a bigot. And I am a student.these days on forums i see a lot of people talk about the current situation in the middle east. It annoys me because a lot of people are getting their information from a biased source, which is another issue in itself. But what this thread is about, the credibility of Americans and our past and moral standing. No other country in the history of the world has dropped a nuclear bomb in an offensive attack but the USA. Think about that. It. Murdered thousands of innocent people and effected the lives of more. The amount of innocent people killed in the Iraq war due to shelter piercing bombs and in Afghanistan as well, all for what? And our soldiers lives as well. NATO dropped bombs in Libya as well during the attack pursuing gaddafi, which killed many innocent Libyans. Look it up search for it don't just take my word. My point is when you look at the current situation and generalize all the people over their as crazy for killing one of our ambassadors who the hell are we to do that. Look at how many of their innocent people we have killed with our pointless wars. Put yourselves in their shoes for a second. BecAuse all in all they are people just like you after all. Its no wonder they are starting to flip out. Their whole area has been war torn formso long now. I'm not justifying their actions I'm just saying based on what our nation has done in the past who the hell are we to put a judgement on anyone. Hope u catch. My drift

Ummm...I don't even know what to say to this. I personally hate war, I thinkit's stupid that people really need these gangs at all, I see no use for them. However, as long as war exists, I stand behind my country (US). It's no different than Rome in it's prime or any other Empire that cconquered, as long as I'm being protected by a gang, I want that gang to be the baddest out there. Heck yeah lets spread some fear, haters gonna' hate, but that's because their gang lost...unless you don't understand what's really going on and think your government is in the wrong. The winner is never wrong, only the loser. It's been that way since the beginning...its just recently that the winner is the bad guy...if the winner is the US...which is usually is, especially recently. So why the double standard?

I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
I agree with this. Yes, 9/11 was a big deal... 11 years ago. Its time to grow up, move on and stop using it as an excuse to go to war. I dont keep up with politics. At all. I dont even know whos running for president against Obama, because I really just dont care about politics, but even I know that all this war against terrorism crap is just an enlarged ego hissy fit. You cant stop terrorism. Its human nature.

Nothing about growing up.
It's not even a war and no body is using it as an excuse. We already got the guy that helped caused 9/11. Just who knows what Obama has planned now.

I just hope the government will stop aiding those that clearly doesn't want it and pull the troops out.

Its not good to blame all the Americans. Because there are Americans who are against violence and love to live in peace. So, blaming all Americans for the nuclear bomb and blaming all Muslims for killing Ambassador is bad. If someone want to know about Christianity he has to read Bible, and if someone needs to know about Islam he has to read Quran - not look the way a minor Christians or Muslims live.

Some thing you might want to wake up to -

- these pictures represent the third wave of protesters that arrived on 9/11 and have been there since. They are peaceful & progressive.

Thank you. One other thing you might want to consider having a view on is the Muslim Brotherhood for militarizing the second wave of violent Literalist protesters - enabling them, emotionally and physically, to kill and destroy.

Im sorry for asking, but wasnt this one of the reasons for Iraq/Afghanistan wars? even bush said it in his speech -_-
It's not war, other people may see it like that but no.
Terrorism is not an enemy, but a tactic.
You can't go to war with terrorism otherwise you will be fighting on your own soil as well.
It's a pointless thing to be wasting money/man on.

Judging nations as a whole isn't really clever to do, well, depending on what your intentions are, but it surely isn't fair.
Most people are helpless as they can't but watch as their fellow countrymen/women tear themselves and others apart.

Take this China/Japan feud over the Daiyou(something)/Senkaku Islands: Chinese mobs are attacking everything they find being Japanese at the expense of those who, depending on what is being attacked, own or run it, whom mostly are Chinese as they are(they even started a fire at a Samsung store(Samsung is Korean)). They also attack a Japanese person if they find one(it's their goal I suppose) and the government(parts of it, that is certain individuals), seem to want to put the blame on Japan, the victims of these mobs. Some even say that it's a way to relieve Chinese of their pent up anger/frustration, so they found a scapegoat.
Now, are all Chinese responsible for this? Definitely not, nor all the Japanese citizens, but it is often that the innocents have to suffer for this.

They are suffering and that's how it is, because they're categorised as part of a country and suddenly they share a collective responsibility. It's really stupid, but shows how mistaken people are for killing and wrongdoing those innocents whom for the most part can't help or stop the ones whom seek to hurt, just because they "belong" to the same country.

I personally really dislike what the division into countries has become, so I can't really agree with you when you say that we should put ourselves in their shoes, because mine suffice, since mine takes me on a road that isn't dirty with generalisation. Besides, I get your point, but can't agree with it being the whole of USA feeling like you feel.
