Why Nagato did not revive Yahiko??

I may have missed something, but I was wondering that when Nagato became Pain, why did he not revive Yahiko. As he still had his body?

Maybe he didn't have those kind of skills with the Rinnegan yet and by the time he did he was already mascaraing as Yahiko, or, he just didn't think of it in the heat of the moment

Plot, Nagato needed to be evil then turn good so Naruto could develop more as a character.

I am not 100% sure but maybe it was a techique he had to develop or learn and by the time he had learned it he had already used Yahiko's body for his paths of pain.

I don't think he didn't had power but till the time he got power to revive person from death he may have already used his power in Nagato to make one of the pain. Or may be Nagato is more powerful being one of pain than Nagato himself.

i am pretty sure that there is a time limit after which rinne tensei cannot work. when Nagato used the jutsu to revive everyone who had died in Konoha, he said that there was still time to save everyone. given the fact that he had enough chakra to perform a jutsu of such level and range, 'there is still time' did not mean he had enough time to do it before dying, but that the souls could still be brought back in the bodies.

why he didn't use it with Yahiko?

furthermore, if rinne tensei could indeed be used at any given moment after sb's death, then Nagato could had used the jutsu at any given time to revive Yahiko. it's a case of a plot no jutsu gone wrong and creating a plot hole really

not sure, as he brought back people in Konoha who had been killed in the attack, not necessarily those who had been killed by him alone.
