How to Attack: first ensure the opponent is busy when you use the fire ball tech and then use it as the second jutsu to make the finishing move.

How to Defend: it's a waste to use for defense.

How to Counter: hmmm other than S/T... maybe don't let him use it? block the line of sight and move away from the last known location, or use genjutsu.

Advantages: overpowered xd fast, almost impossible to counter, etc.

Disadvantages: takes 2 turns to use

Combinations: the best would be a swamp under the opponent or something that makes him go for defense

Question: why only S/T? I think a gate user or something as fast as that could dodge it =/

And the answer to your question is no. Only Space time. If you think about how kirin works, EIG might be able to scape by though when still then moving, Kirin is faster. Though i need to check on that fact.

How to Defend: can cut lightning techs into 2 :p however mostly to destroy things you don't want to be there.

How to Counter: don't go in close combat or if yes, be sure the opponent won't have a chance to use it.

Advantages: very strong

Disadvantages: close range, 1 hand is busy

Combinations: taijutsu

How to Attack: basically 2 raikiri in a close combat fight.

How to Defend: just like above.

How to Counter: don't let them come in close range.

Advantages: dangerous for the opponent to remain in close range and you have 2 raikiri

Disadvantages: both hands busy

Combinations: taijutsu

Question: unfortunately I'm just guessing with this one. this zig zag thingy is ridiculous. if it's my movement then I could do that with free form and a single raikiri.

How to Attack: there's only 2 ways in my head. first something like what Tobi did against Minato and the other one is to use the chain as a hmmm... whip maybe? brandish it toward the enemy and let it cut everything in it's path.

Advantages: strong

Disadvantages: needs a clone, keeps 1 hand busy, slow, limited usage

Raiton as you know, will have basically two types, just like fire. You have a stream version which connects to you, like for example chidori. These types have a clear disadvantage as it is connected to you. Water, if used right, you can hit them and electricute themselves. Which means when using something like a chidori, you must be close range or else there might be an opening for your opponent to take advantage of that.

I mention this as most of your "how to defend" portion is using a wind attack. However in battle, it is best to use something that you can do move in a single move, so you can set up or put pressure on your opponent with the remainding turn.

Wind is not bad, as you can negate and overpower. But if used water, you can always damage them and without it being weaker. Even with an elemental advantage that wind carries against lightning, it will always weaken if it straight on. Use it combination of water and wind is probably the best for a single no combinated raiton. Though situation will vary on what you can and can not do throughout a battle.

The method that you went over was a concept to teach you what and how these jutsu's work. I noticed every one of you're reply to defend was to use a wind technique. However since our training session started mid way, I wanted to sum it up here.

Always keep in mind, battling is not just posting jutsu. There are plenty of combinations that you could do given the right situation. I am not here to give you battle training, but in a sense this is one. Raiton has a faster rate of travel as you already know.

I have 1. If I use water to counter lightning wouldn't the lightning "pierce" it and still travel toward me?

If the water is connected to you, it will conduct and travel along where the water is. It will hurt you ~__~

BTW when lightning travels through water its much much faster

Ok. So if a lightning and a water tech at the same rank clashes, the water will absorb the lightning and still travel toward it's original destination, right?

Are you saying, if someone shoot a wave of electricity or a bolt of lighting at you, and you counter with water, the water would reach the person who shot the lightning???

Lightning would travel towards you faster. You would paralyse yourself by doing that....... never counter lightning with water........O___O

Alright, Everyone of the jutsu that we have covered are essentially the same with the AACT's. Nothing is really different.

There are versions of the lightning release as a projectile as well as the one that stays connected to you. Some are ones that apear around you're body like the Nagashi, but with the exception of a few and the ones that you have learned, AACT's are no different. It just a slight variation to be a bit more diverse. Kirin as we covered comes from the sky and there are versions like such as you release chakra into the sky to create lightning bolts to rain down.

The concept is still the same, just because they are AACT's doesn't change anything within the concept of lightning element.

As you have covered from D-S ranks, in essence, you are aware of the different concept of each jutsu. You know the difference between the chakra level required to perform these jutsus as well as hand seal requirements if needed.

Look at the jutsu's below and tell me what you don't understand about them. Without using my template, list the jutsu's that are similar with minor differences. If you are off completly, I will give you my input.


(Raiton: Inazuma ken Fudou) - Lightning Release: Lightning Blades Levitation

The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.

I'll try to give a reason why I think they are similar.

In this pack these 3 all uses a weapon to execute the certain jutsu. However the last one is a bit different as it is only for close combat while the other 2 are for ranged combat.

In this last group the techniques doesn't connecting to you, nor surround you and not even using a weapon.

Description: The user manipulating their chakra generates a plasma barrier around them to serve as a defence which protects them from incoming attacks, even from something as wide-ranged as the Quicksand Waterfall Flow however the user cannot use other techniques besides lightning release or physical based techniques. The user can rush at their opponents even if the barrier is active. The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.
Note: Technique remains active for 3 turns.

It sais around them, then that means above them too, right? What happens if my opponent dropping mud on me while this is active. The chakra should be neutralized but what happens with the mud?

Can this jutsu be performed without jumping in the air? I think when I slam my hand on the ground only my arm touching it, but what if I just duck or lean forward and do the same? Can be performed that way?
