EDIT: I've included links to manga pages here on NarutoBase, in case the images for some reason don't work for you. They work for some and don't work for others, I really don't know what's going on.
Well, since both Kakashi and his Kamui are deeply involved in current manga, we see more and more people discussing it. Still, too many of them seem to forget about several things and then complain about Kishi being troll because of Kakashi's recent feats.
So this thread is to clear several misconceptions.
Misconception 1: "At the beginning of Part II, Kakashi was only able to use Kamui two times before landing in a hospital for a week"
I've even heard a version saying one Kamui was enough for that. In both cases, here's the proof that Kakashi used Kamui 3 times during the events with Deidara.
Here Kakashi uses Kamui for the first time and rips Deidara's arm off:
Here Kakashi uses Kamui for the second time, right after the previous one, this time missing entirely (but Kamui was still used):
Third time is Kakashi kamuing Deidara's clone explosion:
All in all, even at the beginning of Part I Kakashi could use kamui 3 times.
Misconception 2: "Kakashi couldn't run after using a single simple kamui on Susanoo's arrow."
It's true that Kakashi couldn't run properly a moment after using kamui in this situation. HOWEVER, most people don't notice that Sasuke's Susanoo shot two arrows one above, and little behind, another.
This means that Kakashi either used Kamui big enough to warp both arrows or used Kamui twice. We cannot know which of these two took place, but Kakashi definitely had to waste more chakra than in case Sasuke had launched only one arrow.
Misconception 3: "Kamui can miss and/or be countered with speed."
Not brought into discussion as often as the two above, but still happens fairly frequently.
People almost always use the fact that Deidara escaped Kamui as the argument:
But, there are several things indicating it's no longer the case with current Kakashi.
Here Kakashi states he hasn't yet mastered Kamui:
In every next situation Kakashi uses Kamui he never missed. People sometimes bring up Tobi or Gedo Mazo as an example of Kamui missing, but it's a whole different situation - Tobi stopped Kamui done both on him and Gedo Mazo, which is confirmed by Kakashi:
When it comes to countering Kamui with speed, it's not possible, as seen with the case of warping away Naruto's kage bunshin. Tobi, even with insight capability of the Sharingan (which rendered Guy's attacks useless), was not able to see Kakashi kamuing Naruto's clone right before a stake was launched:
This is further confirmed by Tobi, who claimed Kakashi's Kamui was too fast:
With this, we can clearly see that Kamui became 100% instant.
Aaand that's it for now.
