I ask that everyone go review the Manga and see what almost everyone in it says about Itachi. Pay attention to his fights and his goal. Itachi controlled all his fights, every single second of it. Why would Itachi waste a Tsukuyomi on Sasuke knowing he might have to fight Jiraiya seconds later? Because he knew Jiraiya had nothing for him. He could do what he wanted. All the while pulling off the bad guy act without killing anybody and I still hear fans saying he's terrible for terrorizing a 6yr old and helping Akatsuki with the beasts, but like I said before he played his role well and when he couldn't do it any more he passed it on to sasuke.

This isn't fanboyism, its just what kishi wrote. Itachi is the 4th in a Uchiha body. It was never meant for Itachi to be as OP as he is but when it comes down to the manga it clearly states he is. His infamous reputation is the only thing that keeps him from being praised with the like of Hashirama and Minato. You dont think his achievements were greater?

Gai preved it because his Speciality was Taijutsu , and knows what's The oponnent's Next moves by Focusing on his Feet(acually if you avoid eye contact you won't be able to avoid Amaterasu so one of them will get you (of course unless you have an Ultimate defence like Susanoo )

Think about it this way, what if you look at their chin? You're avoiding eye contact and you can still basically see everything your opponent is doing. And some ninja can sense Amaterasu before it is released.

FIRST OFF, said this before Jiraiya wouldn't get to use Sage mode, it takes to long to activate. Second, the intelligence gap is this Itachi, was smarter then almost all Ninja mentioned, except Minato. Minato and Itachi were the first people to gain and interpret the largest pieces of Madara's/Tobi's plan. Minato in his 20's and Itachi before he was even 15. He said he joined akatsuki to moniter them from the inside. Why? Because he knew Madara/Tobi was up to something. One other person might of known, Danzou. But he fell to sasuke.
