Kishimoto was never going to explain it in this chapter, the -99 is always the cliffhanger and then the 00 is the explanations, I do see what you are saying and although I see what Kishi was trying to do with the flashback, there were too many mistakes in the chapter itself.Agreed.
As king of lightning pointed out, it was a visual chapter and Kishi managed to mess up in the visual aspect. If there was dialogue, maybe it wouldn't have been such a terrible chapter. Plus the fact that these flashbacks are irrelevant and no one really wanted to know about them and we got no explanation or hints just makes this an over all terrible chapter. Quite possibly the worst in my book.
I was joking around -_-How so? All it was was a bunch of flashbacks and something millions of people guessed by looking at Tobi for five seconds.
We didn't even get a hint.Kishimoto was never going to explain it in this chapter, the -99 is always the cliffhanger and then the 00 is the explanations, I do see what you are saying and although I see what Kishi was trying to do with the flashback, there were too many mistakes in the chapter itself.
Well, we have been discussing Obito all this time, I guess that is the hint, he must know how stupid it sounds though , the flashbacks were just there to add depth to Obito's character, to make the reveal have more impact. We didn't even get a hint.
A good author leaves in a subtle hint so at least the readers have something to discuss for a week. But NOOO it was all (badly placed) irrelevant flasbacks. :|
Ah yes. The chapter filled with plot holes, useless information, boring flashbacks, huge letdown excuse of a cliffhanger, inconsistencies, and overall bullshit was AMAZING.It was amazing tbh
The revealing and Obitos flashbacks a very well put together chapter only Obito haters/whiners will dislike it
Whiner lol who knows the manga better you or Kishimoto? Dont answer.I found the flashbacks interesting the whole dynamic between Obito and Rin made me realise that Tobi is just a Naruto type person gone down the wrong road and the Chunin exams were interesting as wellAh yes. The chapter filled with plot holes, useless information, boring flashbacks, huge letdown excuse of a cliffhanger, inconsistencies, and overall bullshit was AMAZING.
I have yet to give a damn that Tobi is Obito. You Obito fanboys need to pull your heads out Obito's ass. No one, at least not all of us, care about the fact that it's Obito. Obito haters are getting annoying now because its like you guys cant accept its Kishimotos manga and he planned this from the beginning, its nothing personal against the other people lol but i guess whoever it was people were bound to be upset one way or the other
Lol im not a Obito fanboy i thought it was Izuna/Zetsu because of him getting upset about Izunas eyes getting ripped out and his Knowledge of Madara etc. It wasnt obvious because Kishi made everyone believe it couldnt be Obito the timeline,Izuna reaction,Knowledge of Madara etc all the Obito fanboys were made fun of thats how obvious it wasI have yet to give a damn that Tobi is Obito. You Obito fanboys need to pull your heads out Obito's ass. No one, at least not all of us, care about the fact that it's Obito. It's the fact that:
1. Kishi hyped Tobi's ID, then made it something so obvious. We were led to believe that Tobi's ID would be nind bending. But, Kishi decided to blueball us.
2. The inconsistencies. Tobi being Obito alone is one huge inconsistency. Now, this chapter presents even more. The fact is, this chapter was the product of lazy writing. Kishi just doesn't care enough to reread some crap so the manga makes sense to itself and follows its own standards.
The whole flashback could have been dialogue by Tobi/Obito, or at least dialogue with the flashbacks from present day.
Some people claim that chapters ending in oo have the big reveals. Well, Kishi should have made 599 about Sasuke/Oro or Madara. At least then, we wouldn't have been trolled.
:sy::flaw::sy::flaw::sy::flaw:chapter 599 was the most epic chapter in the history of managa , because it had a great impact i mean the word "obito" was tranding worldwide and everybody was on fire , tought i didnt like the identity of tobi but for some reason i was so pumped , what about you ??
Do you see any possible way Kishi can cover up the fact that Hayate, Genma and Anko and others were in the Chunin Exam that Kakashi graduated in, despite the fact that the rest of them weren't even Genin yet when Kakashi became Chunin? Or Minato's face being on the mountain despite it not being there when Obito died?Lol im not a Obito fanboy i thought it was Izuna/Zetsu because of him getting upset about Izunas eyes getting ripped out and his Knowledge of Madara etc. It wasnt obvious because Kishi made everyone believe it couldnt be Obito the timeline,Izuna reaction,Knowledge of Madara etc all the Obito fanboys were made fun of thats how obvious it was
There are no plotholes that wont be addressed because its Kishimotos manga and hes always covered up plotholes that have been addressed before such as one of the the oldest ones how can Minato be Hokage when the 3rd was alive.Everyone always screams plothole and gets excited before the explanation comes
No dialogue was meant to set the mood and make it mean what you think for example it would of been anti climatic if the biggest anime secret was revealed with them talking all the way through its all about the atmosphere and suspense
I disagree as well saying trolled as it was always Obito at least the current one and Kishimoto wont just pull Obito out of his ass and say accept it there will be answers answered
Ill need links of this contradiction please many are under the impression that Kakashi was younger them all and this does solve most plotholes regarding Kakashi although i dont think this one after thoughtDo you see any possible way Kishi can cover up the fact that Hayate, Genma and Anko and others were in the Chunin Exam that Kakashi graduated in, despite the fact that the rest of them weren't even Genin yet when Kakashi became Chunin? I have to agree with Sawyer7Mage. The fact that Kishi showed us a bunch of flashbacks then gave no explanation was complete bullshit. The chapter shows Kishi doesn't give a damn about the consistency and plot of his own manga. That is why 599 is the worst chapter of Naruto.
Agreed.

Chapter sucked. Crappy flashback, and it was flawed until proven otherwise. It was nice to see who Tobi was, but I'd want to say "The Nine Tails Strikes" is my favorite.

You guys all sound really butthurt. But seriously you people need to learn to read. It's obvious there's not going to be an explanation this chapter, don't get your panties in a bunch. What exactly did you expect? It ain't my fault that you're mad that Tobi isn't who you want it to be, but christ it was the face reveal this chapter. You people don't even know what happened yet, you need to seriously calm your tits.Do you see any possible way Kishi can cover up the fact that Hayate, Genma and Anko and others were in the Chunin Exam that Kakashi graduated in, despite the fact that the rest of them weren't even Genin yet when Kakashi became Chunin? I agree man.Indeed, he rustled everyones jimmies.
