great chapter, i laugh in the faces of those that pretended as if they know it all and disqualified Obito as a tobi candidate. Lol
now i forsee 3 or 4 more chapters of what happened to Obito, remember what happened during the Kabuto vs Uchiha brothers fight, 4 boring weeks of Kabuto's history that no ome was interested in.
The same could happen, only that this tym it Obito/Tobi.

Kakashi was about 4 to 6 years younger than Obito. Remember Kakashi graduated from the academy at 5. Most people graduate at 12, even geniuses like Sasuke and Neji graduated at around 12.
Teams are chosen from academy graduates, so they got grouped after the academy, hence it doesnt mean they were the same age. Obito was never stated to be a genius, so he could have graduated at 12, when Kakashi graduated at 6.
Meaning he attacked the Village at about 20.

The lack of faith in good ol' Kishi is astonishing. As you can tell from my post count I'm new here, but I came here because of the amazing manga that he has created. The man's a genius, he's produced many Naruto chapters that have been fantastic plot-wise and visually. Have faith in him, he's been doing Naruto for 15 years and has got the ability to produce a brilliant explanation for all of the recent happenings in regards to Obito/Tobi. You gotta have faith in him guys!

So while the official timeline established by the databooks does indicate that Obito would have only been 14 at the time, given that Kishi has thrown it out the window with 599 it's almost irrelevant.
Exactly. Kakashi was 14 during the Nine-Tails' attack according to the databooks written by Kishimoto himself. Of course, that doesn't mean much anymore, since Kishi threw them out with this newest chapter. Kakashi's age when he was promoted to Chuunin is the most prominent discrepancy, but there are also several people in Kakashi/Rin/Obito's class who are, according to databook, either years older or years younger. Namely, Namiashi Raido (Who is 5 Years older than Kakashi), Gekko Hayate (Who was 4 years younger), and Yamashiro Aoba (Who was 4 years older).
So while the official timeline established by the databooks does indicate that Obito would have only been 14 at the time, given that Kishi has thrown it out the window with 599 it's almost irrelevant.
The flaw I see in that theory is one of nagato's Parents was an Uzumaki, and they had close ties with the Leaf village and knew very well who Madara was and how he abandoned the village. Unlikely one of them would have mated with him.... not saying impossible though! Also it was shown that nagatos parents were murdered in front of him...

you know what the problem is when retconing material... that everything could just randomly become irrelevant. personally, my problem is not so much that Obito was 14 at the time, but that apart from Obito's timeline other characters timeline is also affected. unless, kamui has some hax ability... hey, why not. Uchihas are already as it is pwning the world.

They didn't say for sure. The translation is a bit off on NB. Look at MangaPanda. "Obito?" "The name finally surfaced"obito"".

Wrong !! Jiraya didn't become one of the legendary sanin until he fought hanzo which was after he trained minato & THEN after he trained nagato he found yahiko konan & nagato after he left the village to start the make out series

Obito theory has been around for the longest time. And it was very easy to find or see. Do you honestly think that the idea that everyone gravitates towards being the most simple and easy theory to find would be the correct one? There has been to many twist that no one has seen.This is how you can tell is someone was an Obito theory basher...Fece it, the hints were there, you just happened to miss them. We were right, you were wrong, end of story... :noc:

Well, in the meanwhile i will believe Obito is the real deal.
And if i may, let me add this crazy theory:
The link between Madara and Obito is Orochimaru.
Let me try to explain it:
The "Edo Tensei" Madara said something about Tobi having a plan.
If the timeline is "incorrect" and Madara and Obito lived in different eras, they could only talk if Madara was ressurrected. And who was the only one who could perform Edo Tensei ? Well, Orochimaru
And besides, Orochimaru might be the "crazy scientist" who worked with Hashirama's DNA and created the white Zetsus (like he did with Danzo)
I know that's just a theory, and a crazy one actually... but i want to believe the "final fight" will be against Orochimaru and that he is the one controlling things on the shadows
