Manga vs manga social club

If it's ok with mods (haven't talked to them yet) I am planning on creating a manga vs manga social club since it is against the rules to do that in the public vs area.

The main concern with the mods is that this will cause too much flaming and spamming throughout NB so I have the idea of confining it within a social club to see if we could actually make it work, the mods may not go for it and the idea itself could turn out to be a flop but I thought i might as well create a thread about it and see if their are a lot of people who would be interested in this.

So post here if you think this is a good idea and would give it a try!

Well......if they want to stay in my club they will have to.

I would even appoint certain members of whom I feel are sensible enough to be mods of it, so if flaming or verbally violent disagreements begin they will be kicked out.

And why would you want that? It's not like it would work anyway. Manga vs manga never works even if you get intelligent people into the debate.

Only that people would urge the need to make their thread seen into the first page and have people answer solely on their thread.

If it's just a social group, you can go and make it without us going to stop you. Just make it a closed group, and kick out people when they start harassing other people. Also set up a few clear basic ground rules so that it all stays good fun.

manga vs manga hmmm ... sounds fun. am down, but as long as its just light fun coz people have different opinions about different mangas and take it too serious

From my point of view it will never work,since you can never get an intelligent debate on such a topic.Even though there are mods,theres a good chance that they will lose their patience at some point.People will just go beserk(dont know the spelling),and there will be complete chaos.

If you come up with a better idea for a club,make a thread about it,and if i like it,i will join

Ok good! I will have to put some thought into it and then I will make it and make another thread so I don't have to bump this one up.

I'll make a thead asking anyone who wants to join to simply post on it and I will invite them......and it true what most of you are saying that it will never work, that could be true but we don't know until we try and I think it's worth a try.
