Sasuke: A True Genious because of his Sacrifice...

I am sure that I am not the only one that believes, that Sasuke must have a clue that Madara is up to something...

Sasuke knows that just like Itachi... he is the Key to the plans of Madara. And that Orochimaru wanted Itachi, just like himself, possibly in attempt to foil Madara's plans and also for Itachi's power.

Knowing this... AND that everything he knew growing up, is completely different.

IF Sasuke is a genius, would he be upset for leaving Konoha and his life behind... for a lie...?

At first, yes.... But I think Sasuke matured emotionally, through this whole ordeal... to NOT let Itachi's sacrifice go to waste!


I also believe that Sasuke is NOW choosing to NOT return to Konoha, because...

1. He has heard about how strong Naruto has become... and that it is all because he cares so much for Sasuke. Sasuke knows that staying away will only make Naruto get stonger... and to be able to protect Konoha from Madara.

2. Sasuke knows from experience with Orochimaru... that you need to keep your enemies close... We know that Sasuke is lying to his Hawk team members, and Madara... that he intends to destroy Konoha.

Basically I think that Sasuke has a plan formulated to destroy Madara, and to protect Konoha... In order to Fullfill the Goals of Itachi, and to Follow In the Footsteps of his older brother.

If this is true, I will think completely different about Sasuke... genious.

yep.he's just blinded by hatred and corrupted by vengeance, he grew his life solely for the purpose of killing his brother and right now, seeing his brother as a hero, he's moving towards konoha BUT it maybe the case wherein a dragonball like scenario will happen...

goku defeats vegeta, then vegeta becomes an ally
naruto defeats sasuke, then sasuke becomes an ally again...

well maybe that's it...

He may have a change of heart later in the manga, but at this point I don't think he's planned all that out. Itachi said it himself Sasuke is easily manipulated, that was the reason for given Naruto that hidden power.

Interesting points, still in the end I think Sasuke is a brat that has been manipulated by more powerful and evil men then he can fathom. I hate how he cowardly wins battles versus cool characters (Oro, Itachi and Deidara to name a few) and is then looked at as a badass by many in the manga and fans of the series. He failed to completely beat a withering Orochimaru (even with his cheap curse seal level 2 transformation) and right now, whether with the intention to help Konoha or not, is aiding those that seek to capture and kill Jinchiruki, many of which are beacons of hope to their respective villages. In any case Sasuke's actions have been unforgivable and he continues to follow men of great evil as their pawn. Even if he intends to save Konoha or do good, it's far too late, Konoha is almost entirely destroyed and a lot of his former friends are teetering on the verge of death.

I do not think he is anywhere close to a genius as far as his intentions, he is a master in battle, but in the whole scheme of things he is just a pawn to much more powerful and evil men. Itachi surpressed the coup to destroy Konoha and was a genius for that because he saved lives at the sacrifice of his clan and his relationship with the village and Sasuke. What has Sasuke sacrificed? He seems to only be intent so far on gaining power, no matter how bad he has to become to get it... Going to Konoha now will not do anything but make him appear involved (which he is) in the whole plot to capture and exploit the Jinchuriki power. Many have died for this cause and Sasuke hasn't lifted a hand to help them.

I don't know what Kishi has in store for Sasuke and I may be missing something, but from his actions I think he is a coward that is only after fixing his own eyesight. Going to Konoha wont restore his vision, waiting for Madara to be attacked then swooping in for his eye, or getting Itachi's eyes will. Just my 2C.
