Orochimaru's abilities

At the end of the day, orochimaru was playing around with 4 tails naruto and jiraiya nearly got killed by it. need i say more?

as i said above, yamato interfered before the fight was over. 4tails was pinned down, but we dont know how it wouldve ended. the 4-tails moved the long sword pretty easily from oro if you recall.

lol im a hater for being a fan of orochimaru? no its called knowing the truth, jiriya is stronger, if orochimaru was stronger than j-man why did itachi punk him to leave akakatuski? ahhahaha and when he encounter jiriya with kisame itachi didnt want to fight due to his strength thus i rest my case

using the four tails argument isnt very good

orochimaru was going for the kill, jiraiya would never try to hurt naruto even if he was in kyuubi form, all he did was try to suppress the kyuubi's chakra and in that procees he got hurt.

Jiraiya had intentionally weakened the seal and the kyuubi took over

if kakashi were facing the four tailed form he would have been eaten alive

tsunade too almost killed jiraiya but does that mean tsunade>jiraiya or tsunade=four tails -_-

i will counter.

i think jiraiya could beat oro if he wanted. oro has done a lot of things, and we havent seen him fight to his death (properly), so just by what is shown in the manga...jiraiya was/is stronger. why? simple. would oro be able to defeat pain (even one) in the same situation that jiraiya was in? i would think not.

jiraiya was able to kill one of the pains, while i dont think oro would have even had a chance. what im basically saying is j-man would be stronger in sage mode than oro when/before he died.

who knows what hidden techniques oro has...but from what we have seen (and i know there is probably a lot more to oro than what was shown), j-man would be the "strongest".

sage mode genjutsu... edo tensei is still venerable to genjutsu. it wont kill the edo-tensei, but it will stop it temporarily.

it was shown when jiraiya met naruto that j-man knows some sealing techs. so he could seal them after making edo's immobile.

We all know for a fact that Itachi is the best genjutsu user, kurenai and her both has 5s in the databook, (for genjutsu obvs) does that mean Itachi = Kurenai in terms of genjutsu ? no.

Anywho, when Oro gets his stats updated he'll smash Jiraiya's stats for jokes.

OT: You didn't have to write all that to prove he was the strongest. He was playing with 4 tails naruto, and survived the legendary totsuka blade. I shall speak no further on the matter.

Stats do matter in this situation. this is not a vs thread.the op flat out said orochimaru was always the strongest of the sannin. i have shown the official stats for both. since the last databook was released neither character has had powerups so these stats stand. we are comparing who is strongest not who will win in a fight or who is more likely to win a fight there is a difference. how they have fought against other opponents means nothing in how strong there are overall, fights are all about matchups. Im not comparing one particular stat like you did with itachi and kurenai im showing all stats and kishi clearly says j-man as an overall is .5 stronger then oro making him the strongest sannin. and as an overall if we were to compare stats itachi is stronger then kurenai which we know is true.

Whats naruto have to do with this? naruto has had ups since his last update stat update neither j-man nor oro have had any powerups since then. how is oro top 10 when he admitted he is not strong enough to take ems sasuke?

oro was actually brought back to life, not edo-tensei. if its a direct face to face battle against oro, then jman's genjutsu would still work i believe.

*that is to say, the avg uchiha being stronger than the avg konoha citizen (non-uchiha).
