None of the female characters had good character development at all and the only promising one was killed. That was the girl in my sig. Sakura was good especially at the beginning of part 2 but I agree with you. The only decent female in this show was konan but now she's dead. And the other females don't get a lot of screen time.
Btw (Hinata is good but we barely see her in action)

No screen time means no decent character development..... Why Tsunade must suck? What about Mizukage, Temari, Tenten, etc.? Why look at the screen time and not more such as when their actually battling or back-story? Why do people want more?

Don't get me wrong I know Kishi can't develop a female character to save his life. But if you look at the beginning of part 2 she had some pretty good character development. But Kishi on purpose took it away when it was fine as it was. But hopefully you're right, I hope she gets better developed as a character before the series is over.

What "better development" are you truly looking forward to?

I hope that she's different than the girl she was at the beginning of the series. That she stops crying as much, gets tougher, get over her attachment with Sasuke, and can do what's right if the time comes.

Tsunade is the only one with somewhat of a decent development. What exactly IS Mizukage's story to begin with for her to get any character development? So far, she just seems mentally unstable and it revolves something to do with a marriage and men and maybe the swordsman guy who's with her. Makes me like wuh? wth is going on

Temari's is actually not too bad either, but it lacks breadth. This is why screen time is important. If Temari had more screen time, we could get to know more about her; like exactly what her childhood was like growing up with Gaara the monster - That could be used for character development if we saw how her relationship with Gaara might have changed over all the years. I always found it so weird that Gaara was all alone in his flashbacks. I like that Temari's got this romance/relationship building with Shikamaru, it's entertaining and it's obvious they will end up together in the end.

Tenten... Who is she even? Lol. What is her story? Let alone her character... They seemed to be developing something about her connected to Neji or Lee in Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2, but it was so brief and undetailed and it has just been ditched so much now. Her character-development position is like Sakura's but 10x worse.

If Sakura's development was to reach it's optimum, her power would come up to a level where she could solo Sasori. She would have to be quite quick also, and avoid damsel-in-distress situations entirely. She would become clever enough to know not to go and try to kill Sasuke solo :sy: and would probably work together WITH Naruto to solve the Sasuke situation together. Then she would actually be actively significant rather than the way she's passively significant only because she forced Naruto to make her a promise that he refuses to break because of his motto or NinjaWay or whatever.

So if you were a teenage girl, you're telling me you wouldn't cry if a bestfriend and a lover tried to kill eachother?

Again I didn't say she shouldn't but she doesn't want to be like that. "I'm supposed to be a ninja but all I've ever done is lean on him and cry...I was supposed to change that."

Insert character development here and we wouldn't be having this problem. Do you see what I'm trying to say, I'm not hating on Sakura at all, I'm merely pointing out how she had such promise and it was all destroyed in one page.

You have only focus on a select few which is alright. However, I had more characters at thought such as Konan, Chiyo, Hinata, etc. Most character don't need a back-story. Most character developments are only created to have some relevance to the plot. Their are called support for a reason. This thread is about Sakura so I want deviate from the subject. You have you opinion. I just disagree of how some could "hate" or disrespect Kishi's decision on how character-driven she is and place her as a underdeveloped character.

Agree with this 100% +1 Rep

Thanks.

It kinda does because they need screen time for us to know more about them in a way.

To be honest, looking at the series as a whole, it's all fine considering it is meant to be about Naruto. Hinata's the only one I could say desperately could do with some screen time because it makes her seem like such a "on-the-side crush", but that's only an issue IF Naruto is meant to end up with her.
