Alright so I was browsing memecenter and I came across this:
And it got me thinking that Sakura matured in part 1 after this battle:
Now she realizes that she's always been a background character to these two and realizes that she must be stronger to protect her friends and aims to be better by being more like them and again, this is in part 1:
And here we see Sakura have a giant turning point where she's infering that she'll become more like Sasuke and Naruto, be a tougher ninja, hold back the tears, and become strong enough to not have to depend on others:
Okay so this is all in part 1 where we've seen some real character development and promise from Sakura. She's gonna change and become a powerful ninja that will handle things on her own.
So in part 2, after the time skip we see that Kishi has given Sakura some real character development. She's a lot stronger than before, a great medical ninja, and more importantly she can hold her own and isn't the same Sakura as before, right?
Nope, Kishi in this page, basically kills all the character development Sakura had built up over time and is more or less the same girl that would cry and fawn over Sasuke:
Let me break this down for you, she still depends on other people like Naruto, she's still in love with Sasuke, she still cries instead of taking action herself, she still needs to be protected by other people, and she isn't even close to being like Naruto or Sasuke or any tough confident ninja.
All of Sakura's character development, killed in one page. I didn't even think it was possible to do that but somehow Kishi has turned his main female character back into the same girl she was back in the Zabuza saga.
So with all this being said, do you think that Kishi did a bad job giving Sakura actual character development? Because she actually had some great character development but Kishi took it all away. I mean if she says she's gonna change and get stronger in chapter 53 but is still the same 500 chapters later, that's just bad character development.
So I think Kishi did a terrible job by giving Sakura some good character development and then taking it all away in one page. But how do you feel, do you agree with my analysis or do you not like Sakura and think that she doesn't deserve character development?
