[Discussion] Why hasn't Tobi used the Rinnegan?

If Tobi was more intelligent (or maybe if Kishi wasn't gonna reveal him in the next few chapters I guess xd ) he would've just used his rinnegan and absorbed all of Naruto's attacks.

Or maybe, he can't use the rinnegan. He hasn't shown any of the abilities of the rinnegan besides the linked vision. Even the Jinchuriki didn't utilize the rinnegan. Makes you wonder if you need both eyes for all the abilities similarly in the way that you need two mangekyou to utilize Susanoo.

How could the Rinnegan possibly cost more chakra than spamming Kamui?

I think at that point Naruto was too fast for him to react and use shinra tensei or preta path, he wouldn't have the skill of Nagato to be able to use it instantaneously and we all know how fast Naruto is.

when i saw the panel when tobi was like "shit" and it focused on his rinnegan i was really hoping he was going to suck up the rasengan or something using preta path.

I agree with aze , the fact that tobi takes the rasengan in his face , show us that he can't use rinnengan when he is in his dimension.
Absorbing ninjutsu is a easy jutsu for rinnenganers.

too much chakra for the most advanced techniques, probably, since he did use his rinnegan (controlling the previous jinchuuriki, linked vision). but i guess he can do the basic stuff and not the more advanced. so, he prefers kamui which probably costs him less and does 'more'.

no way absorbing chakra would be harder than making kamui .
Absorbing one little rasengan is not comparable to controling 6 bijuus .absorbing is really easy for him.
