A Chunin Exam Neji vs. Sasuke would definitely have been fun to see! The fight would probably consist of Neji dodging some Katons, hitting sasuke with a tap of gentle fist (but nothing lethal), and then the big Chidori vs. Rotation clash. If they equalize each other, then I'll go with Neji's win at that time considering he still has 64 palms as a trump card up close. However if Sasuke decided to use the Curse Mark, I would favor him more.

Nope I also agree with you on that one. Sasuke as good as he is I feel relies a little too much o his sharigan. Where in part 1 he would do a little of everything (maybe w/ the exception on genjutsu). Neki still would get destroyed by current Sasuke though.

Naruto only won because of plot shield. Naruto swore on hinata's blood he would beat neji plus he had all his training. Neji had no chance against plot no jutsu he was screwed. Actually if sasuke fought neji instead and the chunin exams did not get disrupted sasuke would win because of plot as well because he swore to fight naruto. That's the sad truth about the naruto series plot..
