[Discussion] Why does tobi play around with everyone so much?

Just curious...

we have seen tobi become one of the most elusive and strongest ninja's to be shown in the narutoverse.

so why doesnt he just do the same thing as naruto and use tons of shadow clones to own everyone? with many shadow clones, no one would be able to even touch him.

think about it...he can pop out of a 1000 places at once and easily collect all the tailed beasts in one go hide. no reason to fight and risk being injured.

he wouldnt even need akatsuki. well maybe he would because he would need money, but what would he need the money for? i havent really seen tobi (or even nagato/pain for that matter) ever utilize the money, which akatsuki collected.


another thing:
we havent seen tobi use the rinnegan yet. he is probably going to start fighting seriously now that kakashi has found a weakness in tobi's methods.

one more thing:
does anyone think that kakashi will be able to TRAVEL to the other dimension in which tobi seems to easily travel back and forth?

Why doesn't Tobi just put his fist in someones head then materialise? It because he would just be to hard to beat then. Plus I don't think Kishi wants he characters with fist shaped holes in their head. Its all plot.

yet he has survived everyone of those...and come back stronger (imo).

Most people cannot use shadow clones the way Naruto does because they require large chakra reserves.

i doubt this is the reason. he can just borrow some of the chakra he stole from the other 7 beasts.

we have seen him go through people many times, but (if we talk seriously) he would also lose a body part if he materializes while they go through him. as in both suffer damage.

im not 100% sure why he would need chackra to be the juubi's jinchiruki

also becuse he can, wants to and/or he thinks its fun. kinda playing with his food before he eats it. witch realy is the fault in most villins, they sit there for hours ranting about how awesome they are while there getting beet.

Lol that could actually work unless he cant bring back the part of his body that is overlapping with something until its not overlapping anymore, im guessing thats how it works, his body parts return automatically when its not overlapping creating the illusion that hes a ghost and it damn has to be automatic, no way could Tobi so flawlessly and accurately phase body parts manually.

To OP - shadow clones are forbidden for a reason, every time a kage bunshin is made your chalra gets evenly distributed thats why people can make as little as 2 without them being really weak and dissapear straight away, anymore than 2 will have so little chakra the cant maintain themselves and you also lose all that chakra. Thats why only jinchurikis with huge chakra can pull it off.

In light of how Madara is treating the Kages, its not surprising that the old skool guys who are really strong tend to play around too much till they recognize a real threat... Kakuzu, Madara, Sasori etc

well i wasnt aiming at that precisely, but yeah...lol.

i mean, i want to see move ahead faster. he could have so many more things up his sleeve that it might be a while before he can be defeated - if that is possible.


the only way i see it is if sasuke comes to save the day with whatever info he will gain from his and oro's "mission".

for all we know, tobi may have the first hokage's dna in him to give him extra chakra reserves...againt i doubt its because he will run out of chakra.

yep, he does. and not only because he can use izanagi, but also because he can use the tree grown form Hashirama's DNA. so, he definitely has extra chakra reserves, but Naruto and Madara level? i doubt it.
