From facts we know that Madara got Rinnegan shortly before his death, and also that he "died" at the Final Valley. So if that was his time of death then that means Madara had Rinnegan WHILE He was fightning Harashima, and didn't USE IT. Which means Madara HELD BACK which would mean mean by logic Madara>Harashima (Maybe) .

Logic: The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan has been shown to be able to progress to the Rinnegan through unknown means. This was displayed by Madara Uchiha who noted that he was able to awaken this dōjutsu shortly before his death, which contrary to popular belief, did not occur at the battle at the Valley of the End. As to why he didnt use something like this in an "All Out Battle" .

Your logic is shakey. He could have just as easily unlocked the rinnegan after being defeated but before he died.

He could have awakened his rennigan after the fight. Some say that when you are close to dying you awaken the rennigan after the EMS. Sorta like you first awaken the sharingan

He did soon after that on his deathbed. Then tobi talked to him and they probably came up with the Moon Eye Plan. Even with rinnengan, we can't assume that he would have beaten the 1st.

if he did unlock it during the fight...what makes you think he didnt use it and still lose?
maybe by the time he got it, he didnt have enough chakra to use any rebirthing jutsu or something.

From what i heard is that an uchiha unlocks the rinnegan only if he has the last sharingan form and survives his own death. Also the eye itself is saying that from it's color: washed purple that tends to a grey white.

Well that explain why Madara need Hashirama's DNA, i kind agree with you Madara had the Perfect Susanoo and that thing looks unstoppable there is no way Hashirama Wood Release would be enough to stop that, Madara just want to fool that world by making everyone think he died. Kabuto himself explained how the Rinnegan is the evolution of the Sharingan Madara had EMS at that time he found a way to unlock the Rinnegan, but we still don't know how he did it, Maybe Sasuke will show us how Madara did it since he has EMS like Madara.

iCan accept that, since Madara wouldnt have much time to master it . .
