[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 597 Discussion and 598 Predictions

i know this is an old episode of naruto and you guys probably forgot what happened in the fight between orochimaru and the 3rd hokage. but i wanted to ask who do you guys think was the 3rd person orochimaru was going to bring back to life? at the beginning of the fight, he resurrected the 1st hokage, then the 2nd, then when he was gonna resuurect the 3rd person,the 3rd hokage stopped him from resurrecting that person.

think ur reading too far in the manga.... could have been any of the bodies kabuto used and or the ones he didnt use

Here's what I think:
1. Tobi is going to to be revealed as Obito.
2. Tobi's/Obito's past will be revealed (like how every other Naruto characters past gets revealed before they die or on the verge of death or verbally.)
3. He will tell his true reason why he wants the world to be shrouded in the Dream of Infinite Tsukuyomi. (I think it's because of Rin. Obito loved her. But she loved Kakashi which explains his attitude towards Kakashi. He wants to create an illusion as if Rin loved him. Tobi's intentions aren't all that bad. He wants to create a world "where heroes don't have to make pitiful excuses in front of graves" meaning no grieving.) (Quote as read in Naruto Manga 597 Page #17)
4. Why would the original Naruto Manga end showing Kakashi's past with Obito, and Rin?
5. You know how in flashbacks Orochimaru always helps somebody? (Example, Kimimaro, Kabuto, Haku) I think Orochimaru found Obito stuck underneath the rock. Saved him, then taught him The Living Corpse Reincarnation technique, then wanted revenge just how Sasuke did. Sasuke had hatred for Itachi, Obito had hatred for Kakashi.

I had this thought but Tobi seemed so casual about him having taken Obito's eye. I think he would have shown some more emotion if he was his father. Besides it's kinda weird if he had taken his son's eye and implanted it in his own eye socket

Maybe taking his eye would prevent him from going blind... Who knows I guess we'll find out soon enough

It was the Fourth Hokage. In chapter 520, page 11, Kabuto says that Orochimaru tried to revive the Fourth Hokage, but failed because the Fourth's soul was sealed in the Death God.

even if he stole it, why did tobi only had one ms on the side that obito "supposedly got smashed" before he got the reniggen? why didnt he have obito's eye and his own before?

I really dont do this but kishi needs to stop playing and bless naruto with some jutsu we have seen what tobi could do, even in this fight if not for kakashi again both gai and naruto would be going into this fight and waste chakra. Now if naruto speed is better than tobi speed like his father then I would say no jutsu is needed but just like the fight btw sasuke and raikage, sasuke would have won just because long range wins against short range

And for all those people who are saying that the obvious clues are meant to throw us off and that kishi would never make it that obvious, well 90% of NB still doesn't think it's obito, so I say that if tobi is obito, he did his job well. I wonder if in japan everybody is physiqued about obito and that's why kishi is hinting at it.

I hate being rude here but its really simple to understand who is Tobi since Kishi is giving us clues long time now.
I ll try to explain my theory so far.

Tobi isn't Madara. He was terrified when he learned that Madara was alive. Tobi isn't Obito. He is way too old to be in the same team with Kakashi. (And way too powerful. Don't forget that roughly the time when obito died, Tobi fought the 4th.) We know that Madara had a brother. We also know that madara took his eyes when he was blind. We know that Tobi is gathering eyes. We now know that Tobi took obito's sharingan. Do you see where i am going?
I think kishi is giving us hints since the begining. If you see the facts, and only them, we know that tobi has a clear connection with, Madara, Obito, Uchiha and Senju. I can see only one guy who is capable of that. IZUNA.

Now this makes sense.

ATTENTION Naruto chapter 598 will be 2 pages about the Tobi fight

Then 13 pages of flashbacks of Kakashi watching Obito dying.

Then 2 pages where guy has a midlife crisis, Bee makes tit jokes, and Naruto taunts Tobi.

Finally 1 page of significant plot development followed by a cliffhanger.

Then everyone freaks out, makes predictions, and calls each other stupid, while anxiously waiting a week for another chapter that comes out late.

I still don't get how obito could be tobi. Obito is the same age as Kakashi and we know tobi has been around for quite a while scheming things. When he took off his mask we saw he looked old. And when he fought the forth hokage Kakashi was still young. What are the answers for this? I'm just trying to understand the theory because usually my friends who think tobi is obito can't answer my questions they usually go quiet

That's just more reasons why Tobi isn't Obito. Kishi is teasing us with all these things, but by now, there's enough to conclude that Tobi isn't Obito (barring some really crazy shit like two Tobis).

Personally, I dont think Tobi is Obito, However the only possible way, I can see Tobi being Obito is, if he someone activated the space time jutsu while he was "crushed" underneath the rock due to the shock and transported the "burried" half of his body to the other dimension. That could be a possible explanation as to why he couldn't feel it and thought it'd been crushed and after giving his eye to Kakashi, he some how realised and managed to get out. As we have seen he can transport himself from place to place with that jutsu, so he could have used it to transport himself out of the rubble. However why he would then decide to turn evil and not return is beyond me.

I have been reading this the top 2 thread since last Sunday and what occurred to me is.

1. Lots of people dont have discussions with each other. Is more arguingwho tobi is and then get annoyed or even pissed-off.

2. There are allot of different theories (some based on a few assumptions and other on facts and logic.

3 What I also find is that the most Tobi=Obito theories are based on very little Manga facts, timeline facts,logic and what tobi said in the manga.

For example: A member does a really great job to type a massive explanation about that tobi = izuna. And the Obito theorists reply ''Well tobi lies about everything, or He doesn't want naruto-verse to know that he is Obito and the so called proof that Tobi = Obito is that he has is eye and that He knows mutch about Kakashi etc.''

But when a Tobi=Obito theorist wants to proof that he is Obito. The post is very small, Few facts, 1.000.000 assumptions. And lots of rage, anger, and denial and then tobi = Izuna Theorists reply with another Big explanation.

And for the sake of argue, I dont have a theory of my one, I like to read other people's theory and follow the ones who makes the most sense.

I think when it comes to reading others people theories you most read it objectively. And when it comes to making one you most go far back into the story and take out the facts as far as we know, fill in the plot-holes with plausible explanation what fitts in the naruto-verse story. Timelines are a big help.

Dont be hating because I dont hate either. When I read a very stupid theory I wont even comment on that members Theory. Only in general.

for the people who think tobi is obito, stop ignoring the timeline.whenever someone brings up the timeline,you tobi=obito believers just avoid the timeline as if it doesnt play a big role to tobi's identity.

I love how this is feeding more hope into the obito theories to the point people start saying "I told you so!" and things like "You lot were always flaming obito theorist and now look!" as if obito = Tobi was a 100% certainty.

If anything the odds are below 10% because there'd be many holes needing explaining and it'd just make the plot turn to shit. Naruto is all about talk and plot development and if it was obito it wouldn't help the plot much. If it turned out to be obito it should have been much much sooner without all these references or hints. Now that there's so many hints, if it is obito it wouldn't take us by surprise, instead it'd most likely annoy us.
