I am leaving

They are saying that they will be leaving the site for a while and want everyone to know. Is there anything wrong with that? Maybe it's seeking attention, but that doesn't count much as they are leaving for a while. And also, that is just plain crazy that you would think someone would make a going away for a little while thread just so that they can get their post count up(by just a single post). Well I for one, even though i don't really know this person do not consider this thread pointless or meaningless, after all it is kind of obvious to see the meaning of this thread.

Neutrino00 you still don't understand it -_- every single "going away" thread is nothing but a way to seek attention and give people a reason to spam a thread which makes it pointless when the person could go to the top people he/she talks to and tell them that they will be gone for a while instead of making a thread which makes it meaningless so yes it IS Pointless and Meaningless to make a thread like this to tell everybody if your leaving or if you are not leaving it is just away for you to get your posts up because in a couple days that person could come back and say "Hey, im back" then talk about where they went what they did when all of that can be talked about in PM or VM

The point of the thread isn't pointless whether or not it is spammed. The comments may be pointless, but the actual purpose of the thread is not pointless, and is not simply a "give me attention", it is a ok I'm gone, see ya, ok I'm gone thread. And whats the point in wasting time making a message and posting it several times to a bunch of people, when it is easier to make a thread(which there is nothing wrong with this), saying ok see ya, so everyone is aware that they are gone. And no not really for your last point. They can talk about that in wherever they go to, and it isn't a way to raise their post count, for this, cause it is actually easier and quicker to raise your post count by talking to other people via other threads like welcome threads, game threads, chat threads(biggest post count raiser, next to counting games), or prediction threads, so actually making a thread then waiting several days to raise your post count doesn't really work, therefor eliminating the fact that someone would actually do that just so they could raise their post count.

All those threads are getting closed, cause their are considered meaningless and they get spammed by people who go and say "I don't know you, bye", in their effort to get their post count up.
The whole thing is spamming, no matter how much you argue with it Neutrino.
