[Theory] How Tobi got Obito's eye?

What if Tobi had Zetsu watch the mission the fourth hokage and co. where on?

We all know Zetsu can record things that happen;like when Itachi fought Sasuke and Tobi had Zetsu recorded for him.

Maybe Zetsu recorded everything and showed it to Tobi ,then after ,Tobi ordered him to go take Obito's eye.

Could be true...Could be false. This theory might not be complete,but at least people can base/build their theory on this though.

He tried to get his hand on all the sharingan he could, presumably to explore new, unique powers and Obito's turned out to be highly useful.

Remember Zetsu is the land so he probably got it after kakashi left. As a possible Uchiha, Tobi doesn't like Kakashi using the sharingan to become a Hero. I think he believes that if it wasn't for the sharingan, kakashi would have died.
Ring any bells, that's what Sasuke told Kakashi when they fought. Tobi is sasuke from the future. lol jk

When Obito died the Uchicha massacre had not yet occured i.e. Tobi did not have that huge Sharingan stash!
Tobi managed to regenerate Obito's sharingan with the help of Zetsu.
There's some connection with Tobi and Zetsu (remember Tobi regenerating his arm?)

he might have been looking for suitable ones to unlock certain powers with.
retrieving any eye would be worth it in that case.

Speculating a reason why Tobi would take and use a newb 2 tomoe sharingan

* He knew the abilities Obito's sharingan would have because he knew who he was related to had spacetime sharingan
* He took it and grew it in his lab. He is able to grow sharingan up to 3 tomoes
* He needs any sharingan he can get / wanted to try it

Tobi defo cant reconstruct or ressurect a damaged eye or else he eouldnt have been pissed off when danzo crushed shisuis eye this means that obitos right side wasnt fully crushed?

I guess we will just have to wait and see! but this is as good of reason as any, perhaps Tobi had zetsu follow the 4th hokage and zetsu split to watch them both when they split up. Zetsu reported what happened to Tobi and Tobi saw the opportunity to take a sharingan.

Maybe he was looking for a sharingan during the war and he saw an uchiha under the boulder. He then implanted it in his own eye socket and discovered that the right eye ( the one under the boulder) could use space time ninjutsu( without mangekyou sharingan) MAYBE that's why .
