So, I was very surprised when I actually looked into this matter and found that in some churches Interracial Marriages are banned. The church wont marry two people who aren't of the same ethnicity.
Now, if you're like me, you will view that as something completely stupid because I believe that love knows no race,gender or age (as long as she's an adult or he)

The happiness of someone is what matters the most right??..right??..right??..WRONG. You see, for some people getting married to someone of different race is wrong and should be banned.
I can understand some of their point of views like:
"They have a different culture"
"We don't speak their language" <--some cases
"Different religion"
"Our blood line is getting corrupted"
etc..
Sure, something like that could be a problem but not truly. I remember my mother who's by no means a racist though she once said "You should marry inside your race" and my response was "I've never been the type to care so much about the ethnicity of my beloved"
Now, I do find it ironic how there trying to defend their actions by saying that the bible says it's prohibited.
People need to stop putting their religious beliefs into the lives of others. It's getting old and it's annoying. I doubt it hurts anyone if a Black men marries a white woman or vice-versa or if a Japanese married an Arab etc..

Those who are against then just don't do it yourself and let others be happy. It's the same controversy that they make about gay marriage as well :sy:

Come on people, we live in 2012, not in the dark ages.
Anyways I will have a poll up there, vote if you're against it or you think it's fine. Explain why you think is right or wrong or if you're neutral, you can also say why.

I love watching this show because it shows you how people would react to the situation once thrown in their face. Will they stand up for the ones being harassed or join in with the harassment?
At least in the video I see hope that laws against interracial couples wont go any further.

Lol even though my mother had said that, she at times tells me stuff like " You should marry a Japanese woman already! you're so obsessed with their culture and this 'Animals' <-- she teases me about anime by saying animals.​

at times I can understand their point of views but in reality, it doesn't matter when it comes down to it. If she's the girl you love and isn't of your ethnicity, many of us wouldn't just throw it all away for something so meaningless as the color of someone's skin and culture background. Next thing you know, there gonna start banning tall people getting married to short people or fat people with skinny people. It's just ridiculous how some people care WAY too much as to take away someone's rights to be happy and be with the one they love.

im black and my lady is white. we went to texas to visit her father a few years back and you would've thought it was still 1960 down there. we got some really dirty looks in certain places. ive dated white girls a lot in my life so im used to angry fathers and dirty looks living here in the midwest. ive come to see the humor in it so i don't let it get me down anymore.

But in my opinion you shoudln't just be with someone from another culture if both of you aren't used to eachothers... cose when your way of life is different then the relationship won't last long (imo).

But then, let's say if a norwegian(man/woman) grew up in norway is with a syrian(man/woman) who also was born and grew up in the same country then it's ok cose they are used to the same stuff (sorry I'm bad at putting words :ghehe: hope my last sentence made sense xd)
(I chose the norwegian and syrian as example cose am half norwegian/syrian )

Man, you just gotta ignore, It's the best. Ignorance still lives but I have hope that our new generation could perhaps change the racism one day. If not, lets just aim to change it little by litte. I myself have dated girls of different races and all girls are the same, no matter if there white/black/arab/mexican/ chinese/ korean/ Japanese etc..​

Well yeah, I was mainly talking about those types of deals since here in the U.S we have all other cultures not just whites. The U.S is consider a multi-cultural country.

I date outside my race all the time though white girls and there angry fathers but loving mother(ah good times) middle eastern awesome chick her mom well I have a feeling she didn't like me but her dad was black so me and him was cool Asian her parents loved him lol now I just need to date a Hispanic chick

im jamaican and my ex was a korean native for 18 years, but all of that means nothing, slight language barriers, cultural differences, appearance, it means nothing because when 2 minds bond thats all that matters in the end, **** what societies old bigoted ways would tell us how to think, were the new generation and its our responsibility to call our parent's race logic stupid and ass backwards and to break the cycles of hate and ignorance that have overwhelmed the world for far too long
