Lol Yeah Gin can manage, though Tousen will get beat up pretty badly unless ofcourse we're talking about Hollow Tousen, then I think he got a fair Chance, but still those Quincy are only OP against people who rely completely on their Bankai ( Byakuya ) and Shinigami who are weak to begin with...
How is relying on your zanpaktou an indication of weakness? The possession of a zanpaktou is what it means to be a Shinigami in the first place. In fact, if anything, Byakuya should be praised for having such incredible mastery over his zanpaktou and it's myriad of techniques.
The Quincy were just extraordinarily prepared and managed to devise the perfect Shinigami-counter, that's all.
Possibly, yeah Gin is a boss. He could have killed Aizen if it wasn't for the Hogyoku. (element of surprise)
How would Gin fight against his Bankai? How would he avoid something that's 500x the speed of sound? When Gin was fighting with Ichigo he was
toying with him. If he wanted Ichigo dead it could have happened the second he decided to use his Bankai. The Quincy wouldn't toy with Gin. They'd steal his Bankai and impale him with his own poison faster than he can blink.
If Tosen got the drop on them and released his Bankai I'm not so sure the quincy would know what was happening... so then it comes down to if he decides to hold a speech about justice and all that malarky or go for the kill - knowing Tosen he'd start to jibberjabber and end up with his Bankai stolen and he'd die.
Gin would be okay.. hell the guy was considered a genius before Toshiro and he's still the only one to graduate in 1 year (record previously held by Kaien, 3 years or something).
Tousen wouldn't be able to fight his Bankai neither. And the whole argument about how the Quincy wouldn't be able to react...that's just bad logic. Tousen's Bankai doesn't make the opponent blind and deaf instantly. It needs time to setup the black dome. The second he says "Bankai" it's over. He'd lose his Bankai.
