the first few episodes are when luffy begins to gather his crew and it is kinda boring because with how far its already come you already know who will become part of the crew but if you stick with it it begins to get very epic.....I like it when zoro first fights mihawk the difference in their power levels were so awesomely sad.

Never judge anything based on a few episodes. Just watch many and see where it goes.

It took nearly 20 episodes before I started liking it...but once I did, I loved it! What I like about One Piece is, well, the same thing I like about all the shows I watch: the characters. xd Luffy is hilarious, and what's so funny is the way everyone reacts to him and the things he does. Once the team is assembled the show really gets good. My favorite character is Sanji, but that's because he's a cook and pervy...

It'll take a while to get used to it, just keep watching, and then at a certain point you won't be able to stop watching.

The powers they have come from Devil Fruit's they give you powers like fire,ice, light and many more. but if you eat one you you cant swim.
And as for the animation it gets much better.

As for the thread maker, it's seriously awesome, once you get into the story you'll love it. I'll admit the first 20/30 episodes are a bit weird and don't really show you what the anime will be like, but once you get past those episodes you'll love it. In my opinion, once piece is better than Naruto.
