Tobi's Potential Flaw That No One Caught This Chapter?
I've noticed something quite peculiar that reveals a lot about what Tobi did to Gedo Mazo to cancel Kakashi's Kamui. This also explains why he did it only once out of the two times Kakashi used Kamui.
First of all, let's make a brief note here. It could be said that Tobi's ability to teleport/move instantaneously has been nullified or limited. The reason I say this is due to him walking to Naruto & Bee's location after learning of their whereabouts as opposed to teleporting there
Also, notice that he hasn't been teleporting at all this whole war arc (please correct me if I'm wrong). I'll leave that there before I get off topic.
EDIT: Disregard that.. I've in fact, been proven wrong and he's been shown teleporting once or twice during the war (can't win em all ). Also keep in mind this thread HAS NOTHING TO DO with Tobi's teleportation.
More importantly, we know that Tobi always becomes intangible when he's attempting to attack and is about to get attacked, both taking place at the same time.
However, when he was not attacking anyone at all and was about to be attacked by Naruto, he did not use his intangibility.
Why is this? Surely he could have just allowed that attack to go right through him. Also notice that this is the exact same time he's about to deal with Kakashi's Kamui.
What was so different between the time Kakashi used Kamui on Gedo Mazo and the time he used it on that kunai? My guess is that it's Tobi's situation and state.
I feel that in order for Tobi to cancel Kamui, he must be tangible, hence why he dodged Naruto's attack which he would normally become intangible to avoid. The reason why he didn't cancel Kakashi's kamui on the kunai was because he'd need to be tangible for that to happen, and with a chakra-emblazed fist coming into his face, that wouldn't really be a good idea.
This could mean a big possibility of things. It could mean he can only use one type of S/T jutsu at once, it could mean he doesn't have the strength to maintain two types of S/T simultaneously, almost anything, at this point.
Though this is a really loose idea, I find it peculiar that there were 2 instances of Kamui used, only to which there was one time Tobi cancelled that Kamui. This could be a hint to his flaw & could be a key to revleaing more history to his and Kakashi's jutsu to a grander scale of things in chapters soon to come.
...Or I could be getting on some crackpot theories to which you'll all criticize/contradict me for verrrrry soon
For you lazy people..
TL;DR
Tobi uses his intangibility to avoid hits. But when cancelling the effects of Kamui, he becomes tangible.
We know he can be intangible and use jutsu at the same time (Chap 566/567), so we can say that Tobi must be tangible (which is different from being tangible to ATTACK) when dealing with Kakashi's Kamui & dealing with Gedo Mazo. This will lead to dire hints in the future about his abilities and its history.
