Won´t say it´s completely right but it completely destroys the idea that everything existing occured by chance which is total bs.

Why do you think that its so bad and unacceptable that we are here just by chance? Just be glad (or not thats up to you). Its not humiliating and doesnt mean that your life cannot have a purpose. The only thing this means is that there is no life after death. So what? Why is it so important for you to live forever in in the heaven after death? A lot of people just cannot face death because they are afraid of it but its only natural.

People are actually not afraid of death, they are just afraid of life being taken away from them just like people are not afraid of the dark but actually afraid of unknown things that may hide in the dark. That is why people want to believe there is no end to their life and enjoyment, maybe there is maybe there isnt . . . if people want to do good deeds only to go to a better afterlife then its rather self centered, everyone has a conscience and THATS the true voice of God, that what makes sinner sleepless, and good people happy. There is where u can find God: inside everything yet no where in particular.

Ok you expressed my thoughts better than myself XD Serving god and acting kind only to obtain eternal life is just selfish. I wonder how many religious people would be if god didnt promise eternal happiness...Though they will say that a loving father wouldnt do that... And its weird for me that for eternal life you have to heed some strange rules like singing psalms or fasting or praying 5 times a day or you cannot work on sabbath...etc. Why would an almighty and loving perfect god expect people to do such useless rituals...

Thank you, and well said. I personally don't see what's so appealing about fading from existence to those who scoff at religion (which obviously doesn't include all atheists). I couldn't even begin to imagine what not existing at all is like, and it's a scary thought when I try. I would think that all people would prefer some form of afterlife to just disappearing forever.

@Kobak- Yes, but how many people really do these things? Most people will just go to church some or most of the time and then ask to be saved. It's as simple as that.

Quran revealed this to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W
that fight those who fight you... so order for waging war and fighting kufr was given...
also not to kill womeb and children, not to kill trees and plants was also given...^^

study islam and ull find things told 1400 years ago that are happening today and will happen, it has told bout of what scientists have found today so how could the dialogue of the Quran can be fake,????

Ok but may i point out that your preference wont matter to the facts if there is afterlife like crying like hell wont matter and if there is no after it really wont matter. Non existance should be like an eternal dreamless sleep, so its nothing unpleasant about it as u dont exist, cos if u dont exist u cant feel unpleasant, in fact u cant feel anymore. Also the way u say it it sounds like that u want the afterlife to exist whether its factual truth or not, its like a child wanting to eat the moon. So think about it again.......

And I've never seen why people would want to work period, so when they're told not to on Sabbath, I would think of it as a forced vacation.

And what do you think about fornication? For instance...you shouldnt have *** before marriage. How many people, even those who say that they are christians, apply this rule? And Bible condemns homosexuality. etc.

And death without afterlife is like not being born. It wasnt bad was it? You dont know what it was like, because you didnt exist. But you cannot say it hurt or it felt bad. So death cannot be that frightening. Its just evolutionary instinct to cling to our lives. Otherwise noone would do anything just sit down and wait for their deaths.

Okay, I'll say it again. When you die, you fade from existence...completely. There is no sleep, no dreaming, you just...aren't there. Like I said before, I don't know what that would be like, but it's sounds terrifying to me. Just my thoughts, so please respect them. (This thread seems to be getting more serious and aggressive as this goes on.)

@Kobak- Abstinence is a cultural morality, not a religious one. Millions of people do this, not just Christians. I follow abstinence because I'm lazy, not because I'm a Christian. And I never said I agreed with the anti-homosexual aspect of God's rulings, but as I said, most religious people don't, believe it or not. They just go to church and get saved, that's their entire faith. I'd like to think I do more, but I don't.

The f*ck are you on about? No one is here by chance. Perhaps you like to leave things to chance because you rather avoid blaming yourself for real life situations but by no means come here and start telling me that everything is by chance, you´re damn right i won´t accept it, everything in my life has been a result of my choices, not by stupid chance or luck...you can´t gamble your way through life and life wasn´t gambled into existence, get real.

Ok but you should say it more nicely:) And what does your choices have to do with god's existence? And dont tell me that every moment of your life was planned and everything went according to plan . You forget for example that even particles move by chance.

Nostradamus too supposedly made many sucessful prophecies also Mayan prophesies are considered true . . . there are people who supposedly can read palms, tea leaves, stars, palm sighns, birth signs etc how can they be wrong?

As fighting Kafir, the Muslims attacked many people without provocation so its not 'fighting those who fight you' cos the people who were attacked was the ones who was fighting those who fought them. Also fighting wld only provoke anger and distrust so its not the way to convert people. Only the Sufi saints and Pirs seemingly understood this.
Also the Kafir term includes all non Muslims, so does that mean all non Muslim males deserves to be killed?

Even If You Don't Believe In God, I Really Hope It's Not Evolution That You Believe In, Becuase, You Should Believe In Something Scientifically Backed, Like, That The Earth Is Only A Few Thousand Years Old

Dont worry i wont get aggressive, just firm. I used the term dreamless sleep because that the closest real life experience there is for non-existance or death . . . . just like when ur deeply asleep whether u have terminal cancer or wife is pregnant etc nothing matters to u, after death non existence should not matter to you ever as u wont be there to feel.

BTW i wont disrespect any views just question and reason them a bit. I m sorry if i offended u.

The age of the Earth is 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years proved by scientific backing, and carbon dating and radio metric dating of various samples.

Nothing creates nothing, nothing can´t create something....if life truly was by chance then it would be self-caused which falls under the category of self-causation and is impossible, something above life must´ve started life...it couldn´t have come by itself.
How ironic that scientists make theories for how life started, denying god but then come to a point they can´t really explain whereas they hypocritically tell you that was by chance, not wanting to even slighty entertain the idea that maybe there is an allmighty source to it all which would open more doors for researching, they teach that shit in school, it´s a fact that most scientists are in denial about a god or a creator....they´re narrow-minded in that aspect.

And then the good old question again: who created god? How come he exists?

Creation would be directly linked to time which is needed to create anything.
Time would not apply to a creator.

No, you didn't, it's alright:) And I misread dream"less", but even then, I prefer dreams to my real life, sadly enough:( But, at least then, you know what's going on. It's just darkness, but that's probably because you're still alive. Once you've disappeared into nothing, there's no telling what happens. At least with the afterlife, I can expect something and prepare myself for it. That's the primary attraction of religion, in my opinion. And I'd rather believe, live a good life, and be wrong than not believe and go to Hell if I was right.

Well the Church banned, imprisoned Galelio and forced him to confess that the Earth did not revolve around the sun (Also may i mention Copernicus) . . . . . who was correct in the end? He cldnt explain because he didnt have spaceships and stuff, just wait till the scientists have answers. They are usually the people who are right.
Also earth is not flat as said the bible, neither is heaven up in the clouds (or God wld have sent another Prophet saying the aeroplanes and rockets are causing trouble up there) etc

Listen well, everything has its flaw and so does science, it will do you no good to blindy rely on anything or you will set yourself for major disappointment.
