and comparing a mere sword to a mythological spiritual shield is logical lol please go
It was said in the manga, so it has to be true. Right?

You are clearly speaking of the Yata Mirror in a higher regard for no logical reason, probably because you are a fan of Itachi. You speak like the Yata Mirror has some outrageous feats which can even come close to matching its hype, which is totally false. I don't particularly know how obvious Kishi must make his use of hyperbole in order for people not to take statements as absolute. Or perhaps you are also a follower of the 'unparalled' Minato? Either way, i'm taking it that you are trying to remain unreasonably loyal to Itachi or just plain trolling.
Actually, the notion that using one elemental based attack (Rasen-Shuriken) and immediately following up with a totally different elemental attack (something Katon based) in order to weaken the shield seems rather plausible. Common sense? I would take that as realising when hyperbole was used. I honestly didn't think this would present such big of a problem for some people.
American football isn't so big in England =p
I am speaking of Yata Mirror in a higher regard because it is in a higher regard. You seriously can't compare its description to others even if they use similar words. Yata Mirror hasn't been broken through. Other defenses you stated have. The "unparalled" Minato bit was talking about the quality of shinobi he was. There could have been no one like him in all of his characteristics at his time, being loyal, intelligent, powerful. He was feared greatly and entire armies were ordered to retreat upon catching sight of him. He was a beast.
Using a wind jutsu and then a fire jutsu would be useless as well. For one the counter to wind would be fire and then adding fire to it wouldn't affect anything. Even without breaking it down in this way do you really think the shield that instantly changes its nature to reflect attacks that hit it can't change quicker than a shinobi using different chakra natures? The fact is that the Yata Mirror is a spiritual object and doesn't get its defensive capabilities by just being dense. It deflects any attack by changing itself, so it can't be broken through. Read my explanation in my first post.
The databook does hype up things in Naruto, giving descriptions as they would appear in legend. You should be able to differentiate an hyperbole and truth. You obviously aren't able to do so due to some vendetta you
have against Itachi or the manga in general. You have to attack past the Yata Mirror because anything you throw at it will be deflected.
Maybe comparing a 14 year old boxer who is undefeated against others in his age group to a professional boxer that is also undefeated in professional fighting can get my point across. The professional is Yata Mirror and lives up to his hype, and the young one is other things you compare the Mirror to or against that is great in his own tier of fighters. You get it?

show me the page they compared the yata mirror to the sword of which only had 1-2 pages of relevance
Sure, and Amaterasu is as hot as the sun.
So, if I try to be stupid and not use basic deduction skills, i'll reach the correct answer? Hilarious.
Many diehard Itachi followers will have you believe the Sword of Totsuka is able to suck up anyone
Nice thread either way, however, sometimes you just can't apply logic to Naruto. Lemme give you an example; Nagato vs Hashirama. Now based on an awesome thing called "hype" Hashirama shits on him, but we know that Nagato can absorb his Mokuton, obviously Kishi knows for a fact, and we should too, that Hashirama > Nagato. If we start using logic it starts to bend towards Nagato. Anyways, I'm sure you get my point by now. Don't try and twist Kishi's words either, not helping.
NO if you would stop taking EVERY LITTLE THING literally then you would reach the correct answer i mean use some common sense does it LOOK like haku can move at lightspeed? no
Yata mirror has been stated to be un penetrable. Has it EVER been penetrated? no.
and with itachis death it seems that what i said about it never being broken will come true
It's sad how this thread had to be made for people to understand......
From the sound of things, the bluntsword may actually be the perfect thing to break the yata mirror. In your scan, the yata mirror is described as a spiritual weapon "without a physical form", so I don't really see how it would be able to change it's physical properties to block a physical attack if it doesn't have any physical form to work with. I understand that it has all of the elements and can alter itself to nullify an element with an element, but since the bluntsword doesn't use chakra (to my knowledge), then how would the yata mirror defend against that? It doesn't have any density to manipulate since it doesn't have a physical form, so I think that right there tells you that it can't block ANY attack.
As far as the totsuka blade, I know people make it seem like it can pierce anything, but I actually only think it can pierce living things. If you read your scan again, it says it seals whoever it pierces, not whatever. But I definitely think the description of the yata mirror kind of explains why it can't defend against any attack. It doesn't have a physical form, so I think physical attacks can't be blocked by it. You can't have force without matter, nor can you have matter without force, so the yata mirror by it's own definition shouldn't be able to block physical attacks, since it doesn't have the matter to generate enough force to block a physical strike. Definite hyperbole
