Please hear me out, the reason Izuna dies was because his brother Madara over used his MS so much that he went blind. So Izuna gave Madara his eyes so that madara could live. Now it says that Izuna and Madara were rivals and evenly matched (the reason he gave madara his eyes was so madara could save the clan) so then why would Izuna give his eyes to Madara, because it seems to me Izuna would have been a better choice to lead because Izuna was not dumb enough to overuse his MS and he was just as strong as madara. :shrug:

Please correct me if i am wrong, as this is my first real thread.

Also it said that izuna gave them up of his own free will.

I dont think they were evenly matched they may have been close .... but Marada was also the well known one .... if other clans found out he was blind they would try and kill the clan .... so it may have been for political reasons also

Madara didn't know his MS would go blind, like how normal Sharingan never go blind. He was the 1st to activate so he couldn't have known. Besides, Madara was stronger than Izuna, Izuna loved the Uchiha more than his eyes, so he gave them to Madara so he could still be the best protector for the clan.
