3d is the show or what ever coming out of the screen. 4d can have 3d but has real stuff like scents, air, bubbles, or water. It could also have a moving chair

ya 4d is basically 3d but with more realistic feel to it like some of u ppl have said it adds water drops air and air and movements on the seats to make the film feel like your actually in the movie

4D has 3D and you can feel maybe water splashing in your face and smell stuff. Your chair moves and stuff. It's really scary and fun.

wow awesome i hope one they they make 4D for home entertainment
There is little reason at this point to assume that 4D will be integrated into actual films. It's just too expensive and ridiculously complicated. At this point it's only used in places such as theme parks.

I remember years ago at Disneyland they had a 4D 'A Bug's Life' ride with a 3D screen. When the characters got wet the audience was sprayed with a mist of water. When they were zipping through the grass wind blew in your face. And they even had shit smell when they came across shit and had things that poked you through the seats when you were being overrun by insects. This kind of things is not going to be be implemented in movies any time soon lol
