why dont you people cant see this? we got reference here MINATOS SPEED > KUNAI + TOBI
lets say
kunai = 50mph
tobi = 40mph
minato ? > 50mph + 40 mph
coz kunai and tobi moves a little inches while minato moves faster coz he gains at the kunai.

not really running at someone doesn't mean u matched their speed. :|

I guess Base Naruto was as fast as Sasuke back when they clashed Rasengans and Chidori's.

Consider this. Minato had a plan before he even approached Tobi. Minato wasn't looking to outrun Tobi in that panel. He needed Tobi to be on the offensive. Think about that.

That doesn't explain how he got Sasuke out of the Dust release in time. Like the OP said, it takes a while for Tobi to teleport himself. rep+ to the thread maker.

Minato is the same distance from the kunai that entire time.

Tobi's intangibility is instantaneous. Also, it requires someone to have another S/T tech to avoid being warped. It just so happened had Minato one. I agree with most of your post.

That's exactly what I meant. Minato had to make Tobi turn tangible and then hit him from behind. Tobi didn't expect this and didn't see him FTG behind him so he didn't get the chance to turn intangible again. If Minato would've ran straight at him with a Rasengan like Naruto usually does, Tobi would've probably phased through it.

In Minato Vs Tobi fight, Minato won the battle of speed because of something called intellect - Being a genius who thinks before doing, meaning that when both of them launched to attack each other at same speed, Minato Had a plan in mind to lure tobi to be offensive towards him, yet he forced tobi intangable because of the Kunai he threw, therefore he proceeded with his well 5 seconds thought out plan, used FTG on the kunai and won it ! ,conclusion, nope its not the perfect setup to tell who is faster than who, yet through out the fight Tobi praised Minato for being fast and living up to his Yellow Flash name on certain occasions, and in the end Tobi Lost. from that argument you can say Minato is Faster and ofcourse from observing the fight and the way of thinking Minato has u automatically say he's a genius fighter. so at that time Yes Minato > Tobi in terms of speed,brains,even power, that rasengan did hurt pretty bad.
