DISCLAIMER: These methods may or may not be approved by any doctor, but this is what worked for me and it might not work for you... U_U
1. Change the bedroom colors (curtains, bed-sheet) to milder/dull colors. The less it pricks the eyes the better. (off-white, light pink, greyish, lightest olive)
2. Eliminate as many sources of noise as possible (for some people it is the opposite)
3. Warm water bath before sleeping (not hot or cold, the temperature should be just slightly more than your body temperature, toot hot and too cold actually wakes me up).
4. One full glass of warm milk (preferably without any additives).
5. Stop watching T.V. or playing games or working at the Computer or cell phone at least 1 hour before your intended sleep time. (This is to give time for your eyes to relax)
6. Have a heavy dinner 3-4 hours before planned sleep time. (It's very difficult to sleep on an empty stomach)
7. Pee right before getting in bed. (It's horrible when you're starting to feel a little sleepy and then you 'have to go')
8. Turn the cell phone to silent mode (without the vibration too).
9. Think about the awesomest person in your life. (eases the mind and makes you happy)
10. Read Lord of the Rings unabridged. (Yup! don't look at me like that, it worked for me. I last just about a page and a half. U_U)
11. Don't turn off the lights but use something to cover your eyes (the moment I turn off my lights, my sleep vanishes... O.O)
