Yes, that would work, but I think his plans were more on the Tsukuyomi than the destruction of Konoha. Plus, he hates the Uchiha. Maybe he feels betrayed like Madara did and that may be a connection as to who he is. Like I said, so many possibilities. What a great character. Plus he did try to get Kurama to do it.
