agreed but just out of a hunch, the destruction of the uzumaki is such an important part of naruto for something so lowly talked about, or maybe Kishi is keeping the details for later...

Well he does hate the Senju, and the Uzumaki's are cousins. Also, he seems to know a good bit about the seals, as well as, who Kurama was sealed into and when the seal was to be weakened by the birth of Naruto. Maybe (and this is pure speculation) he got it out of a Uzumaki member.

Tobi said that when he was still posing as Madara. And I take that quote as the second coming of the Sage of Six Paths.

Well this may be far fetched, but he could either be the "son who possessed the Sage's eyes" (in which one collaborate his statement since the "eyes" son really wanted that title) or he is a close relative. *And I would think this would be interesting*, maybe he is Izuna.

After the latest chapter I highly doubt it's either of those two, and if it was the elder son, who possessed the eyes, I think Tobi's powers would be more versatile and destructive like the Sharingans nature is. Also, for the elder son, who started a clan that concurred many, and fought in many battles, and started a village, you would think that Tobi(if he was the elder son)would be more courages instead of always having others fight for him.

I think on that part he was saying that because we know he is not at Madara's level. So that was his excuse for not being as powerful as madara. And at that part he was still impersonating madara

Meaning, Tobi is a mastermind. Why would he just go invading and be a blunt force fighter when he can do the same thing in a more round-a-bout method.
