If he's teleporting to a kunai, he may of sealed chakra in it before hand so it takes chakra from the kunai rather than himself. So he loses chakra whilst preparing the kunai, but wastes less in battle

No, Narutobase translations aren't taken from the Databook. That "requires no chakra" quote is false. All ninjutsu requires chakra.
Maybe but where did they get that information then? Cuz i don't think they will say nonsense just to say

Maybe it's not the same thing when he teleport someone else. He must possibly use his space time barrier in this case

He did teleport someone else He teleported the nine tails. This wasn't his space time barrier. It was like his normal teleportation, exept he teleported himself, the nine tails, and the blast. nothing wrong with having doubts but he clearly says he needed a certain amount of chakra to do this. Which proves the FTG uses chakra imo

I don't know where they got it from... they probably just made it up. It definitely isn't the databook. You can ask versuvio or whoever does the Jutsu descriptions.
This thread was made a long time ago and was proven wrong already.

He said "i need enough chakra to take him(Kyubi) and his blast somewhere else" He didn't included himself in the equation. That possibly means that he doesn't need chakra to teleport himself

You have to read the the next few pages that comes after that. He teleported himself as well. Saying he needed enough chakra to take the Kyubi and the blast most likely means it takes more chakra to teleport bigger/more objects. Your translation is a bit loose. If you want to ignore the manga that's fine, I have no beef with what you decide to do. But I provided the proof. Whether you take it or not is up to you

And take another look at your own thread. The info you found says FTG doesn't require chakra. It doesn't say that teleporting himself doesn't require chakra, but to use the technique itself requires no chakra. So that would mean that using FTG, whether on himself, or himself +other people/objects, should require no chakra. But the manga says otherwise. I'm done

Didn't said he didn't teleported himself. I'm saying it's because he teleported Kyubi and his blast that he was out of chakra, not because he teleported himself. Not trying to ignore manga page, but on your manga page nothing shows that if he teleport himself it takes chakra. He was only worried about how to teleport Kyubi and his blast not him

Wrong
It's just a reverse summoning.. meaning just as kuchyose jutsu works,, that works.. databook even said that.. It follows the same prinicples ...

The bigger the thing needing transportation, the more chakra it takes ( gamabunta) , (kyuubi) , This is why he said he needs alot of chakra to teleport kyuubi...

Teleporting himself, most likely doesn't take much chakra, but it does require it

The description clearly states that "the jutsu is also very unique because it requires no use of chakra, due to a special secondary seal that emits the same chakra as him, allowing him to have an instant connection to the area".

if it's true that there is a secondary seal that emits the same chakra as him then it's possible that FTG will not cost him chakra if he is teleporting himself. Just himself and nothing else. But if it has something to do with teleporting something, then it will cost him chakra and it will be determined how large the object is.

Ding ding ding ding! I think we have a WINNER! After reading the thread, this response makes the most sense and is the most plausible explanation.

and where has this secondary seal thing ever been stated? , I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the manga , and I have the databook article for hirashin no jutsu at least the first one
