Who do you think would have won if Hiruzen only fought Oro instead of interference?

That's right, i don't know how some people claim Hiruzen won that fight! Last time i checked Oro just lost his arms while Hiruzen died. How is that winning? A suicide attack was just forcing a draw because he knew he was doomed.

Actually, no. Hiruzen fought smart, not hard. He was faced with two very powerful Edo Tensei summons & an 'immortal' which could only be sealed, not defeated. And considering Shiki Fujin was the only one he seemed to know, that was the only way he could attempt to defeat the three of them. Why would he be stupid and exhaust even more chakra using techniques which would not be able to fully defeat his enemies? And to top it all off, he would've been successful had he only been a few years younger.

agreed but you can even see the edo summons were not so haxxed as we know about them so all in all hiru would have won if he was younger but at this age this was the best he could do imo U_U

Hiruzen stated that there wasn't anyone in the village capable of defeating Orochimaru anymore, so that question has been answered by the man himself.

10 years earlier and he could have, but not at the state he was in.

Hiruzen would have won. Since enma can easily destroy all of Oro's snakes.

Oro would have won, his endurance is amazing. And if we're talking about Oro going all out like he did against Naruto on that bridge, along with Manda, and maybe even that eight (Or however many haeds it had) then Oro would have eventually gotten him.

Also, let's not forget that Sarutobi himself said that Minato was the only one that can beat him, and that was based on knowlegde from many years ago, and Saru was in fact Oro's Sensei.

That's not a victory, it's a last ditch move for a draw and Oro would have survived the move so technically, he gets the victory.

Another example is Deidara vs. Sasuke, which Sasuke won simply because Deidara killed himself but Sasuke survived.

He can have clones perform it as well like how he sealed the hokages. Without them to make him use the extra chakra he could have sealed oro with a clone and lived.
