I agree, mainstream music is ****ing shit. Take 2Pac for example, he spoke about the problems a black male had to go through to get recognised, he talked about drugs, racism, sexual abuse and more, things that are extremely important, but today, shitty rappers are repeating the same rubbish lyrics and idiots like it. Oh well, that's the world we live in ^^

Its a pop song if you want more "depth" listen to bohemian rhapsody then.
Music is diverse and contains all kinds of messages.

If something is trendy,its not "cool and hip" to go against the crowd.
By that logic your are more of a "conformist" because what you listen to is dictated by what is on the radio.

It's not just "todays artists" I personally hate when people say that. It's just the mainstream music that's gone down the drain. There are plenty of good artists, its just that most of them aren't in the main stream. Why aren't they in the main stream? Because most of them have the same opinion of mainstream radio stations that you, myself, and a lot of other people do. Which is to say that it sucks. That and a lot of people are too close-minded to want to listen to any artists that aren't already famous. But look around, and you'll find that there are young artists who can make great music. ^_^

i know there are artists today who are good but only a couple of ppl know them and THATS the real reason i hate mainstream music, I dont mind ppl listening to rubbish but I do hate the fact that all that sh?t is taking the spotlight off of those who deserve it

Agreed, every time I find another amazing artist I always wonder why they're not getting the recognition that they deserve. And then I remember that it's simply because they don't sound like all of the generic crap on the radio. It's sad to be honest.
