Both ready for combat
Location-Forest of death

Who wins and why?

Im going with Hiashi med to high difficulty

Cause of the Byakugan it can help him react to the warping Minato would be doing
And since both are close range fighters
It would be easy to catch Minato in the 8 trigrams

Rotations can also be used effectively to deflect attacks or kunais

rotation blows away kunais so minato cant teleport close to him like he used vs tobi.
hiashi has strong mid range techs that would take down giant toads. no matter big they are, they cant train their internal organs.
and minatos fairly reliant on being able to close with his opponent and stab him. only reaper seal is useful here unfortunately

Yeah
I remember reading that about the internal organs, Minato wouldnt be able to sneak up behind him either

Then theres the air palm for med to long range

Hmm, yes, Hiashi actually does have perfect counters to Hiraishin. Minato's still unfortunately too fast for him to really do anything about, but yeah he does have a perfect counter for it and could win if he wasn't completely outclassed.

Minato fought against Tobi and the 9-Tailed... Neither if which I think Hiashi would be able to handle.

But circular logic aside, Minato still wipes the floor with Hiashi med difficulty... And I don't even dickride Minato like that. He's just too fast for Byakugan to react to. He doesn't necessarily have to teleport that close to Hiashi to buttrape him.

suigetsu couldnt handle darui but was handling full hachibi. gai cant handle hachibi but did handle kisame. its all about matchups

Lol, Hiashi is fodder, even Choji can beat him
hiashi has a name hence not fodder. learn what fodder means. also he is a pro at stomping actual fodders as shown when he fought sand chunins in invasion of konoha

He's just too fast for Byakugan to react to.
its pretty easy to notice kunais coming at you. minato doesnt throw them with any excessive strength

Suigetsu did not handle anything, 1 TBB and he was finished. Im pretty Sure Gai could handle Hachibi 8 gates.

Iruka has a name, so hes not a fodder? Also fodder is food for something on a high food chain.

exactly. a bijuus MOST POWERFUL TECHNIQUE was needed

Im pretty Sure Gai could handle Hachibi 8 gates
nothign he has would ever damage hachibi

Iruka has a name, so hes not a fodder?
the general definition of cannon fodder are like the redshirts on star trek. no name, background soldiers, just there to die and move on

He was water, how else are you suppose to harm water? Plus you just admitted suigetsu didnt handle shit

nothign he has would ever damage hachibi
So the RaiKAGE who handled it was able to, but 8 gates which gives poweer beyong a KAGE can't?

Great logic

So your saying Iruka is not a fodder?

As for fodder

Minato mid-diff
he will go in and taijutsu battle with Hiashi first and try land a marking somewhere on his body, then it's too fast for hiashi because even though he can see minato coming from behind but he won't be able to react in time.

beside minato still have gamabunta.

I wish manga can how more of minato's fight because lol I'm there has to be more to it then just rasengan >.>

While Hiashi possesses a good counter in Hakkeshō Kaiten against things like Rasengan [arguably] and kunai on paper, in practice it's probably going to be a different story, because of Minato's top-tier reflexes and speed. Hakkeshō Kaiten is a splendid defense, but it does leave some "holes" open immediately after it's usage that a speedster like Minato could easily exploit. Since Hiashi would be spinning like a top in place, once he halts his rotation, there should be a small window of time where Minato can teleport in and land a finishing blow. Kuchiyose and Shiki Fūjin aren't need here.

Canonically, Minato has outpaced opponents like the Raikage A and Tobi—two of the fastest characters we've seen yet. Hiashi just can't hang with opponents of this level, in my opinion. I do think Hiashi is strong, but Minato should outclass him.

he hasnt outpaced them. he warped time and space to escape them
Space-time jutsu is still considered to be speed by the author though, as several characters remarked that Minato is "fast" after he used Hirashin: [ ] [ ]. But it's not like Minato is slow without those abilities. His reflexes are still above average, along with his Shunshin.

But even if you don't agree with that, what's stopping Minato from warping space and time to escape Hiashi here?

Hiashi has good counters for Minato's techs, but this is a battle of speed what Minato wins. Hiashi can see all around him and even use rotation or body blow to defend himself, but his reflexes and speed is unknown. I'm pretty sure he is much slower than Minato.
