Even tobi asked "why didn't i phase through that?"

I know. But that's not my fault... now is it? Tobi's S/T is obviously countered with speed - Minato proved that.

Conclusion: Tobi's S/T is not the best.

FTG needs seals. Tobi's does not. Did Minato not also say that Tobi's S/T ninjutsu surpassed both his and Tobirama's?

It can not be countered with only speed, as far as i know.
Minato had to use his intelligence and speed to trick tobi.

That one move from Naruto was, again, plot for dramatic effect.
He had to trick tobi to beat him. FTG isn't better, the user is.

It only surpassed his in the fact that he doesn't require seals. FTG is still faster than Tobi's. U_U

Minato himself admitted it was better, what is the problem? FTG is nowhere near as versatile as Tobi's tech. Reread the OP.

Exacty.
Minato, again, had to trick Tobi. AKA, putting the mark on him.

How can you say FTG > Tobi's S/T?
Even if hypothetically FTG is faster than Tobi's S/T, Tobi's S/T is still more convenient on a battle arena where you have not been. Having to carry around kunai and putting them everywhere you have to teleport is much less convenient. In addition, you can not trap enemies in pocket dimensions for later.

Conclusion: Tobi's S/T > Minato's FTG

I guess your fangsams don't let you think clearly. :sy:

Minato's Flying Thunder God is faster than Tobi's S/T. Ok. The only reason Tobi's surpasses Minato's is because he doesn't require seals. Do you understand that?

Who said it was faster? I never said so :| It is so blatently clear that Tobi's is better, as Minato has said himself. Can FTG lock people in another dimension, effectively sealing them away? No.

Wait tobi's s/t is one of the greatest but as we know every jutsu has a weakness.

Tobi's s/t is speed he had to materialise to warp away if someone was fast enough they could hit him just as he was about to warp.

Also for him to touch you he has materialize once again if you are fast enough you can hit him.

It's a great tech and is up there with the other greatest techs in the naruto series but remember everything has a weakness.

Only? he can also trap people in his dimension at will.
not requiring seals is a huge feat.
Show me where FTG is faster than Tobi's S/T WITHOUT it being a trick that Minato used. Didn't think so.

Yet that applies to all jutsu (weaknesses). So Tobi's would still remain the best.

I know that Tobi's S/T is more convenient, but what I'm trying to get across is that the said technique is not the best. If Tobi's S/T was the best technique, then he should have never been hit after Minato placed his marking on Tobi. Tobi's S/T has its flaws. Even Naruto was able to hit Tobi. Tobi's S/T is countered with speed. He can't activate it unless he knows what's coming.

It is definitely the best S/T tech maybe not overall, Kakashi said himself it was better than FTG on seeing it once. Like Itachi said every technique has a weakness and of course this is no exception but it is still pretty OP. That being said, the 2nd apparently had some OP S/T techniques so it will be interesting to see how his compared to Tobi's
