Am I right in thinking EMS Sasuke would beat Itachi 9 times out of 10?

Itachi slammed amaturasu like crazy, used tsykiyomi and PURPOSELY broke it for sasuke, got hit in the leg by a shurinken, and then later on he used a huge fire style technique, after that he took a full kirin head on, activating susanoo faster than kirins attack. Then after that he fought and sealed orochimaru, and then after that he gave sasuke the mongekyou sharingan.

all on his DEATH BED.

I agree that Itachi would lose. Seriously, let anyone try and defeat this argument.

2. Amaterasu discs, Amaterasu sword, arrows, and absolute defense shield force Itachi to use his own Susano'o. It is the only way he can keep up.
3. Both have absolute defense shields. Thus, neither the Totsuka sword nor Amaterasu sword can hit. The inevitable battle of the Susano'os is a stalemate.
3. Sasuke's EMS allows him to use Susano'o without visibly straining his body. By contrast, Itachi's MS takes an enormous toll on him, and on top of this Itachi is ill. Therefore, Itachi's Susano'o will disappear before Sasuke's.
4. Thus Sasuke gains a massive advantage over Itachi, and ~8 times out of 10 the fight goes to him at this point. I'm not saying Itachi can't pull some insane plan or use Izanami, but Susano'o vs. no Susano'o is an extreme disadvantage.

I don't know, i've seen alot of people say Itachi could beat Sasuke, but really?

1. Tsukuyomi is useless and easily countered by Sasuke's Mangekyou.
2. Sasuke has EMS and can outlast Itachi in a Susanoo duel, quite comfortably actually, because Susanoo takes a huge toll on Itachi.
3. Sasuke is more versatile.
4. Sasuke is much better at Enton than Itachi and can easily get rid of Itachi's amaterasu. Itachi strains whenever he moves a little bit, which is bad because Sasuke can easily spam amaterasu.
5. They are both smart, Itachi will not make Sasuke look like an idiot.

I really do think Sasuke > Itachi. What about you guys?

5. Itachi rigged the whole fight so that he would look as if he was going all out, and he would still lose. In actuality he was trying to draw Orochimaru out of sasuke, and then implant his Ameterasu in him. Sasuke actually thought he won.

Though your example is irrelevant to this scenario and has no relation to the common sense of this match up, I still would agree with you. Sasuke beats itachi 9/10 times. But I already gave my reasoning and it's fair to say sasuke with itachis own eyes, beats itachi

What is the reason then?
Itachi is smarter, more skilled, faster, has a better usage of weapons and a better Taijutsu. Sasukes Genjutsus and Amaterasu won't work against Itachi as well and if we compare their Susanoo, Itachis has two unique weapons.

True and based on all that Itachi is still stronger then Sasuke,but face it we all know that Naruto and Sasuke will surpass all at the end

Well the poll is in Itachi's favour by far and I agree with it.

Itachi is smarter, faster; I think skill wise they are even. An Edo Itachi would stomp Sasuke no question there, a sick Itachi would probably lose to the EMS (maybe) but an alive and healthy Itachi would win this high difficulty I feel.

Sasuke's defense is also absolute. Totsuka blade cannot pierce his shield. Like I said, neither of the bros can hit each other. Therefore the Susano'o battle is a draw, and my argument still stands.
