I think the display of Anko's CM was the proof that Orochimaru remained alive, not so much the means in which to get in contact with him.

Honestly, I think Orochimaru is else where but not far from the battle scene and just was waiting for a moment to pounce as always. However, I can only imagine that he is in a weakened state.

Oro's chakra is not only in anko but also kabuto so he lives. Also remember that there was a whole host of people that sasuke released when he absorbed oro and went to rescue juugo. All those prisoners also have the cm2 so oro lives

Now, as we've seen from the latest chapter Orochimaru remains alive, how exactly? this isnt apparent as of yet. However, the fact remains that he is still around NOW regardless of having been sealed twice and remains to be a factor in this war. So many ppl claimed that Orochimaru was gone (dead/sealed) but obviously underestimated the man he truley was. Orochimaru was a man before his time and I think his time has finally come, the legend of Orochimaru carries on and haters can be mad all they want xd.

Orochimaru=the ultimate shinobi as he lives thru any/everything.
